While it is likely Will Rogers, Oklahoma’s Favorite Son, would be a Republican today, his quote from back in the day on party politics declared, “I’m not a member of any organized political party, I’m a Democrat.” He might enjoy that both parties now question their own organizations.

The leftist-fan-boy Tulsa World Editorial Board in an unsigned editorial today, attacked the recent “Safe City” proposal and ignored procedural gymnastics of a City Council majority to defeat it, asserting that it “would only instill fear in all immigrants, divide residents and make our city more intolerant.” Who says we are intolerant?

Wednesday, Councilor Jayme Fowler’s Safe City ordinance, which sought to prevent City dollars from being used to fund illegal immigrants, was voted down and denied a final reading by a council vote of 6-2. This unusual procedure waved both Council and City Charter rules. Said another way, the majority of Tulsa City Councilors are now lawbreakers. More at the link following:

The Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) should be repealed and if the OK House agrees, SJR 34 would allow voters to decide if the state should follow the U.S. Constitutional model for selecting judges. The JNC, established in the late 1960s, is comprised of 15 unelected individuals, nearly half of whom are appointed directly by members of the Oklahoma Bar Association. The JNC is not subject to Oklahoma’s Open Records or Open Meeting laws. This is a serious, long-existing problem for Oklahomans. Ask anyone that has suffered judges not following the law. This is why so many believe the state corrupt. It's the court system not elected officials.

As Jesus of Nazareth said, "Alas for you lawyers as well, because you load on people burdens that are unendurable, burdens that you yourselves do not touch with your fingertips.” (Luke 11:46, Jerusalem Bible)

Two stories just posted on Tulsa Today, one from

What do you think about this summary from a recent story?

While Independent Voters can vote in Oklahoma Democratic Party Primaries, Republicans must be registered as a Republican to vote in the party primary for good reason.

This election cycle draws a stark difference nationwide and locally between Lawful Freedom and Constitutional Chaos as demonstrated by the National Democratic Party faction of continual lawfare and uni-party media manipulations.

Republicans don’t disrespect Democrats or Independents (that’s where they get new Republicans), but the purpose of political affiliation is to establish common beliefs on public policies from open party debate. Nonpartisian elections allow candidates to hide their beliefs from voters, electioneer contests, and play havoc with the process which benefits big money establishment uni-party candidates.

More debate on principles, beyond personalities, provides more honest representation in office after election.

Look at TPS: for the current budget year, total appropriated funds are expected to be $755,367,103. That’s approximately $25,179 per student! For that huge investment, the results are simply tragic—according to Public School Review, only 8% of TPS students are proficient in math, and only 12% are proficient in reading.

Anguish Over Education and TPS By Mike Mazzei There’s a host of anguish by both conservatives and liberals over education lately—and specifically, Tulsa Public Schools (TPS). Even if heated debate surrounds the discussion, I love that the state’s school performance is receiving attention. The ...
