Are you sharing your thoughts about Adams Road?

We are asking for residents to provide their feedback on the five potential design alternatives for Adams Road between Hamlin Road and Walton Blvd., that have been identified through an ongoing study of the corridor. It should be noted this is merely a study and nothing is imminently happening in the corridor.

The alternatives include:
- No build (maintain the corridor as a two-lane road)
- Reconstruct as a three-lane road with a continuous center left-turn lane
- Reconstruct as a three-lane road with continuous center left-turn lanes and roundabouts at major intersections
- Reconstruct as a five-lane road with two through lanes in each direction and a continuous center left-turn lane
- Reconstruct as a four-lane boulevard with a center median

Comments on these five alternatives will be accepted through Aug. 1. Comments can be made online at the study website’s engagement page at https://mksk.mysocialpinpoint.com/visioningadamsroad/adams-road-pel-home.

Starts this week - Wet and Wild Wednesdays

Join us tomorrow at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm as we kick off Wet & Wild Wednesdays! Entertainment starts at noon with the water slides opening at 1pm. Other highlights include a visit from the Rochester Hills Fire Department, foam machine party, water activities in Stoney Creek with the Clinton River Watershed Council, a visit from the Rochester Hills Public Library Bookmobile and more! Tickets are $5 per person and sold at the door.

The good news is GFL is going away, the bad news is we're getting Priority Waste. What are your thoughts?

There's no question that trash service has been an issue in the City over the past several weeks. The sale of GFL to Priority Waste has led to staff shortages and pickup issues across southeast Michigan. We hope that starts to change today as Priority Waste officially takes over service.
Here's what you should know:
- NO change in collection days
- NO change in service provided
- NO change in cost for service
- If you paid your bill to GFL, you are all set
- If you have an unpaid bill, you should use your GFL portal to pay it up until July 15
- Any bills that need to be paid after July 15 will need to be paid at prioritywaste.com
- Questions or issues with service can be directed to 586-228-1200

An explosion in Downtown Rochester outside of 423 Main (former City Tavern and Mr. B's) has been reported. The Rochester Police Deptartment say a propane heater on the sidewalk caught fire and exploded, Injuries are reported. The part of Main Street is CLOSED. Emergency workers are on the site.
