Glenn Wilson is an unsung hero of techno and another personal hero of mine. His contributions have shaped the world of dance music in ways you could never imagine. I won't try and tell his story but I'll say that there are some rich famous DJs that Glenn gave them a stepping stone to get where they are. ;) We used to mail order all the merch/music anything back when the web was emails and AOL. The original founder of Planet Rhythm he crafted some of the best conceptual Techno labels of all time. Compound, Punish, Template, Colors, Submissions, Heroes, Magnetics, Tonal Path, ETT Musiq (did i get them all?)

Around 13 years ago Subforce Techno joined the mighty Compound imprint. Jeff Ferguson & Rex Bruton put techno born & made in Austin TX to one of the baddest labels of all time. We had followed Glenn's music since the start and it is a true honor for us to be included on Compound.

Memory lane! This helped kickstart the day in a happy mood. Proud to be the original Austin Texas Groove composer. 12 years ago as Eminem said "NOBODY LISTENS TO TECHNO" except those that don't listen to what anyone else thinks or says what other people should do. I love rhythm focused dance music because it saved me from a sad lonely kid that struggled to fit in with my peers in school. I believed that I was broken even felt suicidal because I couldn't be like the other kids. Once I found music, I knew it was not me that was broken it was everyone else that was being programed ordinary.

Ive been creating dance music for most of my life. Even after countless periods of time exploring the tools to compose sounds into sequences that somehow relate to how I feel in that moment, sometimes it just comes together and sometimes it just isn't meant to work. So you try, try, try again until it works for you.

All that really matters is that it represents what you're feeling then and there in the moment. If you're lucky, you capture it if not you let it go. If people don't like it, you didn't make it for them so who cares. The ones that do are feeling it, not thinking about it.

ANYWAYS. I was getting ready for work and happened to hear the pop up and it made me feel happy and grateful. Im sharing it so maybe it will do the same for you!

We are always proud to have producers from the home base city of TX in the ranks. Originally from the Baltimore - Washington area, with roots in National City, CA and Chicago, IL. Attributing his foundation to growing up listening to a wide range of genres, euro trance influences from his older brother and working as a Baltimore night club promoter at an early age, artist | producer | label owner 2psyched is currently based within the underground scene of Austin, Texas.
