Lee Sun-kyun, who starred in the Best Picture-winning film Parasite, has died according to multiple wire reports after going missing in Seoul, South Korea. He was 48.

South Korea’s emergency office confirmed the news to the Associated Press on Wednesday.

Authorities had been searching for the actor after his family reported finding a message akin to a su***de note. South Korean media reported that Lee was found dead in a car at a Seoul park.

Israeli aircraft and artillery bombed a humanitarian aid crossing point.

Four people, including its director Bassem Ghaben, were killed in the strikes, according to the Hamas government. Alongside the air and ground bombings, the Israeli army is carrying out a ground offensive in this overpopulated territory of 362 km2, where it has lost 137 men and where its soldiers have taken several sectors.

In the past 24 hours, its aircraft struck 230 targets in Gaza, the army said, claiming that its troops had “eliminated hundreds of terrorists” and seized weapons, rocket launchers and explosives.

A mass shooting in downtown Prague killed 10 people and injured about 30 others, Czech officials said. They added that the shooter has also died.

Police gave no details about the victims or the circumstances of the gunfire in the Czech Republic’s capital. They said officers were deployed due to a shooting at a school in Jan Palach Square.

The philosophy department of Charles University, which is located in the square, was evacuated, Mayor Bohuslav Svoboda said.
The police department said the square has been sealed off. It urged people to leave the surrounding streets and stay inside.

Danelo Calvacante Capture | Escaped Pennsylvania killer taken into custody after being subdued by a police dog.
The convicted murderer who escaped a Pennsylvania prison nearly two weeks ago was taken into custody on Wednesday morning, Pennsylvania State Police announced, ending a manhunt that drew hundreds of law enforcement officials to the area and left the surrounding community gripped with fear.

The dramatic capture of Danilo Cavalcante around 8 a.m. Wednesday in Chester County involved an aircraft, a lightning storm, a police dog and more than 20 tactical officers, authorities said.

Cavalcante was sleeping when police found him, lying on top of a rifle he had stolen from a nearby resident late Monday night. Officers took Cavalcante by surprise, and he tried to flee by crawling through thick underbrush with the rifle in hand.

As many as 2,000 people are feared dead in Libya after Mediterranean storm Daniel caused devastating floods that swept away entire neighborhoods and wrecked homes in
multiple coastal towns in the North African nation, one of Libya's leaders said.

The confirmed death toll from the weekend flooding stood at 38, according to health authorities. But the tally did not include
Derna, the worst hit city, which had become inaccessible.
In a phone interview with al-Masar television station Monday, Prime Minister Ossama Hamad of the east Libyan government said that 2,000 were feared dead in Derna, and thousands were
believed missing. He said Derna has been declared a disaster zone.

Henrietta Lacks : Henrietta Lacks was only 31 when she died of cervical cancer in 1951 in a Baltimore hospital.

She had learned she had cervical cancer after being admitted to a racially segregated ward at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Doctors removed a sample of cells from the tumor in her cervix without her knowledge or consent and gave them to a medical researcher at Johns Hopkins University.

The researcher found that her cells were the first to reproduce in a laboratory, outside the body. Soon the cells, called HeLa cells, were being shipped from Baltimore around the world.
In the 62 years since her death, her cells have been the subject of more than 74,000 studies, many of which have yielded profound insights into cell biology, vaccines, in vitro fertilization and cancer.

Fast-forward to 2021: The family’s lawsuit, which was filed in U.S. District Court in Maryland in October 2021, accused the company, Thermo Fisher Scientific, of selling the cells and trying to secure intellectual property rights on the products the cells had helped develop without compensating the family or seeking their permission or approval.

As a result of the aforementioned lawsuit, a settlement was reached. The terms of the settlement are confidential, lawyers for both parties said in a statement.

Rapper Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
A jury convicted the rapper, whose legal name is Daystar Peterson, of three felonies, including assault with a
semiautomatic firearm.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Herriford handed down the sentence to the 31-year-old Lanez.

Lanez asked Herriford for mercy just before the judge delivered his sentence, and requested either probation or a
minimal prison sentence.

"If I could turn back the series of events that night and change them," I would, Lanez continued. "The victim was my friend. The victim is someone I still care for to this day." He added, "Everything 1 did wrong that night, I take full
responsibility for.

The allegations and subsequent charges against Lanez unleashed several waves of misinformation and online vitriol
aimed at Megan Thee Stallion, prompting conversations about
misogynoir- a specific form of misogyny experienced by Black Women.

Montgomery Police Chief Darryl J. Albert announced the charges, and accompanying arrest warrants, at a press conference Tuesday, Aug. 8.
The three White suspects were identified as :

🪑Richard Roberts, 48,
🪑Allen Todd, 23, and
🪑Zachery Shipman, 25.

Roberts was hit with two counts of third-degree assault, while Todd and Shipman were hit with one count of third-degree assault each (all charges are misdemeanors).

A video is also circulating on the net about the arrival of the three white men at the hospital. A nurse from the hospital testified that when they arrived, they didn't want to receive medical help and called the police saying " there are only N in this hospital". According to the nurse, the police told them to either get medical help or to leave. (to be verified)

Albert also singled out another person of interest, Reggie Gray, 42, a Black man seen in several videos appearing to hit people with a folding chair. A warrant hasn’t officially been issued for Gray, though Albert said authorities are asking him “to contact local law enforcement” because “there are more interviews for us to conduct with him.”

🪑 The riverboat captain tried to contact the pontoon boat owner by loudspeaker, and people on the other boat responded with "obscene gestures, curse words and taunting," the police chief said.

WhatsApp today introduced screen sharing as its latest feature to enhance the video-calling experience on its platform — taking on traditional video conferencing apps, including Microsoft Meet, Google Meet, Zoom, and Apple’s FaceTime.

The new feature, announced this morning by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg through a Facebook post and on his Instagram channel, will allow you to share your documents, photos, and even your shopping cart with contacts available on video calls.

WhatsApp's screen sharing is leaving beta and will be rolled out gradually to all WhatsApp users over the next few weeks.

If you're one of the lucky few who already have access to the feature, here's how to use it:

Start a video call with one or more people.
Click the new Share icon.
Choose whether to share a specific application or your entire screen.
Your screen will then be shared with all participants on the call in landscape view. Their video icons will still be visible on the right side of your screen.

An Uber driver died days after a passenger was
accused of shooting him, believing she was
being kidnapped, Texas cops say.
Phoebe Copas, 48, is now charged with murder
following the June 16 shooting, the El Paso
Police Department said in a June 22 news
release. She is being held in the El Paso jail on a
$1.5 million bond.
Daniel Piedra Garcia, 52, was taken off life
support Wednesday, his niece said in a Facebook post.
Police said Copas, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky,
was visiting her boyfriend in El Paso and took
an Uber to meet him at a casino after he got off
work, according to KFOX.

When Copas saw signs during the drive for
Juarez, Mexico, she believed Piedra was
kidnapping her, KTSM reported

"At some point during the drive, Copas thought she was being taken into Mexico and shot Piedra," police said. "The investigation does not support that a kidnapping took place or
that Piedra was veering from Copas'destination.
Police said Piedra was shot "in the back of the head and wrist"while driving on U.S. 54, KVIA reported.
Copas did not tell law enforcement she feared for her safety before shooting Piedra, according to KTSM.
She took a photoof the wounded Uber driver and sent it to her boyfriend before
calling 911, the TV station reported
"They make assumptions, they see stuff maybe on the news,maybe on social media, and stuff that's not necessarily true and when they come here they come without really knowing,"
Didi Lopez, the Uber driver's niece, told CBS4.
Piedra was the sole provider for his family, according to a GoFundMe post. He recently returned to work after undergoing
knee surgery.
"He was very happy to finally be able to work and bring home income for this tragedy to happen, according to the GoFundMe.
A vigil for Piedra will be held Friday at Memorial Park in El Paso.
In a statement to CBS4, Uber said it was "horrified by this rider's actions" and banned Copas from its platform.

According to the source close to the investigation, it is the trunk of the victim, discovered in a bag.

The criminal brigade of the Parisian judicial police was in charge of the investigation.

A cut woman's trunk was found in the Buttes-Chaumont park. This body part was found in a bag.

###TENTACION MURDER SUSPECT INTIMIDATED WITNESS TO THE WHO FLIPPED, PROSECUTORS SAY.

The trial started Jan. 18 with jury selection, and Allen’s testimony began Wednesday.

One of the men accused of killing rapper ###Tentacion threatened an alleged co-conspirator who flipped and testified against him, according to prosecutors.

“I heard that I was a police a-- n----, I work for the police, I’m doing a white man’s job and I’m a sell out,” Robert Allen testified Thursday, according to Miami ABC Affiliate.

Allen was quoting the words of Trayvon Newsome, according to prosecutors. Newsome is one of three men on trial for first-degree murder in the fatal shooting of ###Tentacion in South Florida in 2018.

Allen, 26, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and agreed to testify against the other three men. Newsome, Michael Boatwright and Dedrick Williams pleaded not guilty.

On June 18, 2018, ###Tentacion, whose legal name was Jahseh Onfroy, was leaving a motorcycle shop in Fort Lauderdale with his friend Leonard Kerr.

As the two men were driving away, an SUV cut them off and boxed them in. Two gun-toting men got out of the SUV. Prosecutors say they were Boatwright and Newsome, while Williams drove the SUV and Allen rode in the passenger’s seat.

One of the men shot into the vehicle and killed ###Tentacion. Allen identified Boatwright as the shooter when he testified Wednesday.

A RACIST ARGENTINA DENIGRATES KYLIAN MBAPPÉ

Believe it or not, Argentina has been denigrating French player Kylian M'BAPPÉ since it won the World Cup. It all starts with goalie Emiliano Martinez and the gesture he made after receiving the Golden Glove. That irresponsible, insulting gesture has him in " no so good terms" and his Golden Glove prize could be removed. He behaved the same way when won against .

Back in their locker room in , he asked for a minute of silence for Mbappe (this is usually done when people have died).

If that wasn't enough, during the team's tour in Buenos Aires, he was seen carrying a doll portraying Mbappe face on it. There is also videos and photos circulating online where Argentinians burn a coffin with the international French player's face on it.

Many videos show Argentinians saying racist slurs towards Kyky as well as racist songs. The World Cup has shown how racist Argentina is. Kylian Mbappe scored 4 goals during that final game, could it be why Emilio Martinez is focused on denigrating his better peer? 🤔
