Nike World Headquarters ✔️ + a mission to create more diversity and inclusion ... that's a pairing that puts serious meaning into the work that we do.

During this 18-month project, we hosted 200+ people across the Nike NXT community and the result was vibrant and productive small group discussions that effectively cultivated awareness, empathy, and deeper connections among teammates from all functions. 👏🏽 Whatever work you do, make it meaningful.

There's always a touch of magic ✨ that goes into gathering a large group of talent in one place to create an immersive event experience. Like this one at the 2020 Forum event we did last year. The coordination and planning required were significant but we're super proud of the way this came together. 👏

Events aren't a one-person show. As you may have guessed, there are several roles that contribute to pulling off a seamless event. Next up, we're defining the role of a Scenic Designer.

The breakdown👇🏾 :

✔️ Responsible for designing and supervising all visual scenic elements of production
✔️ Works closely with producers to bring the vision to life
✔️ Communicates details to the technical director and other crew members accordingly

Change to -- Rule of thumb 👉🏾 a properly staffed crew is the key to a successful event. While innovative designs and VIP guest lists are important and exciting, curating a cohesive, personable, and appropriately experienced staff is the most time-consuming (and our favorite 🤩) part of the process. Every member plays a necessary role in our ex*****on plan, which is why we take the freelance hiring process so seriously.

When interviewing potential crew members, we consider:

1️⃣ Do they align with Now and Zen’s values?
2️⃣ Do they align with the client's values?
3️⃣ How knowledgeable are they about this particular event?
4️⃣ How well will they fit into the team being assembled in terms of communication and conflict resolution style?

Moments like this deserve to be celebrated🎉 ! In 2018, Nike hosted a women-only brunch to kick off the newest Lebron shoe - HFR x Lebron 16 LeBron James. The brunch honored 16 women from Lebron's campaign, celebrating women of color which took place on the rooftop of its Nike by Melrose store in West Hollywood🙏🏾 .

The venue of our dreams: 📍 Museu del Disseny de Barcelona, a cultural institute and architectural masterpiece😍 . We were lucky to be able to use this monumental space for the Nike Magista product launch--this venue brought the event to life and we were here for it👏🏾 .

The number 1️⃣ thing a production company can do to make sure the event is a success both for them and the client is to have clearly defined roles & responsibilities in writing 📝 .

A clear Roles & Responsibilities document will ensure:
👉🏾 No tasks are overlooked
👉🏾The budget is as accurate and cost-efficient as possible
👉🏾The clients know what they can and can’t expect from you
👉🏾You know what you can and can’t expect from the client
👉🏾If additional requests are made, a “surprise” budget increase is avoided

The Nike World Basketball Festival in New York 👉🏾 a fusion of culture, performance, and celebration. There was no shortage of inspiration and community at this monumental 4-day event.🤩 .

Olympics Nike Innovation Launch

All eyes to the stage 👉🏾 @nike unveils a number of performance innovations for the 2012 Summer Olympics including Nike Flyknit footwear and Nike Hyper Elite. No detail was left unnoticed. The audience was captivated from beginning to end. Event = success✔️ !

NBA Uniform Launch

Scale and movement lent itself to a dramatic + impactful reveal at the NBA Uniform Launch. Traveling sky-high LED monoliths transformed the Sony Studios stage into an immersive experience, in which the audience was continuously surprised and granted exclusive access to some of the top athletes in the world. It was, without a doubt, a feast for the eyes and a visual masterpiece 😍 .

Nike Let’s Move! Active Schools Event

Getting active is great, especially when you have Serena Williams moving with you😍 ! The Let's Move! program was a public health campaign created to raise a healthier generation of kids, initiated by First Lady Michelle Obama. Great cause. Great incentive. Great fun. 🎉 📍 Chicago, IL

Beats 1 Run

One day. One run. One radio show. The Beats 1 Run traveled across 4 major cities -- L.A., New York, London, and Paris. This global activation was packed with ENERGY to promote Beats 1 Radio + the Beats Active range. It was an absolute success👏🏾 . #readysetrun
