Swung by Cal State Long Beach to speak with the next generation of filmmakers, and shared some insights from my journey with Advent Films. Had some great conversations about branding, set management, and being kind to yourself in the process of running a business.

Moments like these help me not only appreciate how far I’ve come, but leave me energized for all the exciting creations ahead. (plus it’s kinda cool to be invited to speak at a film school I didn’t get into 🙃)

I didn’t get into a single college I applied to.

It crippled my self-esteem. I gave up entirely on trying to be “successful”, and instead just spent all my time doing the one thing I enjoyed- making videos with friends.

Yesterday I gave a lecture at San Francisco State University on my journey as a filmmaker and entrepreneur. Little AJ would never believe it.

Thank you SFSU, Dolby and Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers - SMPTE for having me. Truly honored, and I had a blast chatting with the next generation of filmmakers.

There are many paths to success. Invest in the things you love doing. Life is short. ❤️

And then it got real. This is not a shoot.

Headed to the Pentagon next week to meet with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). I've been selected for the 94th Joint Civilian Orientation Conference- the oldest and most prestigious public liaison program in the DoD.

Humbled by this incredible honor, and the nomination on behalf of Stacie Nicole / the United States Air Force.

Throwback to that slowmo Lexus shoot. We spun the rear wheels up to 70mph and used the car as a pitching machine which then shot baseballs up and through 7 panels of glass!
