The Good Life Publisher - Teresa Myers
Editor - Joseph Claypoole Our idea is this: a Good Life is more of a journey, not a destination.

This is the page for The Good Life magazine that carries personal adventure stories of people living in Chelan, Douglas and Okanogan counties in Washington. The world is a big, beautiful place — we like to find people who are stepping off the usual path in one way or another to find adventure in their lives. One of our guidelines is that we only report on local people — folks from Chelan,

Douglas and Okanogan counties. The stories that our local peers and community members have, all experienced here in our big backyard of nature and concrete jungles, are ripe with inspiration, passion and creativity. Other media outlets have the time, ability and drive to go all around the world and back with stories on war, famine, natural disasters, crime and sadness. We go right down the street and find our neighbors who are doing something extraordinary that might inspire you to take your own adventure and share it with others. Our contributor's, the backbone of this publication along with our readers, tirelessly search for that adventurous individual, that kind volunteer, the passionate artist, and gather them into fun, inspiration and extremely well written stories for you all to read. We're all in search of a good life, at the very least a better one, and we hope the stories, art and people in our magazine help inspire you for continued growth. Where or when you start doesn't matter, as it's not about the finish line. Remember to soak in the world and life around you, find time to destress and relax, then find that time to pursue your dreams, because the Good Life isn't a destination, but a journey in of itself.

Hey, The Good Life magazine is looking for stories about your “Best Day” in the year 2020.
What!? Could 2020 have had any Best Days!?
Maybe we are undefeated optimists, but we believe it’s possible to find good in this year.
Recognizing GOOD days is even more important in a BAD year. Having our readers share their best days will help the rest of us remember that good days do exist.
Write us an email — 200 to 500 words or so — telling us of your best day in 2020.
Send along some digital photos, too.
We’ll choose one of the writers for a $100 prize.
But be quick... the deadline is Friday, Dec. 4.
Get writing, the prize could go to you... if you’re swift!
Send your story — and high resolution photos — to: [email protected].
Share your story with the readers of The Good Life magazine about the GOOD in 2020 and make us all feel better.

We are seeking amazing grandparents in Chelan/Douglas counties who are stepping in to become pseudo teachers for their grandchildren while the parents work. We think there could a lot of grandparents who have buckled down, figured out how to Zoom/Teams/Google Meet, and are helping with the homework.

We’d love to hear your stories!

Message us, or write 300-800 words about what you are doing to keep those grandchildren learning during the strange times we are living in. Send your story (and digital photos) to: [email protected]

Maybe your story will inspire others…
