We’re planning an amazing LIVE(streamed) show for you this Friday on YouTube! While the content of the show will be as dumb and butthole-y as anything else we’ve done, the reason we’re doing this show is not dumb!

All ticket sales will directly benefit two incredible organizations we’re passionate about in our personal lives: The Marsha P. Johnson Institute () and Dignity and Power Now ().

The Marsha P. Johnson Institute works to protect and defend the human rights of Black transgender people through organizing, advocating and creating community. It was founded in 2015 as both a response to the murders of Black trans women and women of color, as well and their exclusion in social justice issues. The organization’s name sake is the late activist and drag queen Marsha P. Johnson, who was a prominent figure in the Stonewall Uprising of 1969.

Dignity and Power Now is a Los Angeles-based organization whose mission is: to build a Black and Brown led abolitionist movement rooted in community power towards the goal of achieving transformative justice and healing justice for all incarcerated people, their families and communities. One of their programs, JusticeLA Now, has been paramount in organizing efforts in the recent defunding of the LAPD, as well as the $0 bail initiative and the campaign to close the LA Men’s Central Jail.

We prefaced today’s new episode “E171: The Cardiff Giant,” with a very important message regarding Black Lives Matter. We’re not the first, second or even third place you should be getting this information, but maybe you’re just getting started. So, in hopes of driving more action, we’re sharing things we’re personally doing right now, to better understand and support the movement, as well as educate ourselves on how we benefit and contribute to a white supremacist system, and how we can work to change it. Be excellent to each other.
