Finally getting some Meyer Sound speakers (X40s as the mains, X20s as fillers) and Chauvet lighting installed up at the Healdsburg music barn. We are far from done as construction completion is looking like September, 2024 and much more to do and add. Sure will be AMAZING when completed. Shout out to Mitsu Orozco from Premier AV Tech as our amazing install contractor. Total pros! We'll be back late June to fly the [2] Meyer 750 sub-woofers in a cardioid pattern. Pics to follow. These speakers are so amazing!

Media One will be providing the house sound engineers for the concerts here when booked.🤘😎🤚

We’ve been doing some cool Meyer Sound audio speakers installs this Spring. This is from a lovely Catholic Church, Saint Agnes, in San Francisco’s beautiful Haight/Ashbury neighborhood. (2) X20 main speakers and (2) UPM front fills. We then sound optimized the room using SMAART, re-programmed their digital mixboard, added wireless mics with headsets, and installed antenna paddles.

So we spent a bit over 5 months consulting for a client - Shack 15 - who reside inside the historic SF Ferry Building. It’s a 50k square foot expansion of seven different zones, a Suite with three more zones and a conference room. We had 13 pages of CAD drawings created and designed much of their new, soon-to-be-installed A/V system including Meyer Sound speakers, Panasonic Laser projectors and a control system to run it all. Here are some sample shots of our design.

I was out at Point San Pablo Harbor on Sunday when I noticed I missed 5 phone calls from our engineer Armando, who’s girlfriend is the Sous Chef at Chez Panisse in Berkeley; a world renowned restaurant.

There was a private memorial to be held that evening at the restaurant to honor the late founder of the Telluride Film Festival. They wanted to show a video of Werner Herzog cooking his shoe at Chez Panisse in the 1970s and later eating it at UC Theater. It was then they realized they needed a screen and projector. This on a Sunday.

So I met Armando and we quickly put together a nice projection kit of a Panasonic 5.5k projector w/a short-throw lens, a Fast Fold screen for rear projection, [2] Decimator HDMI/SDI converters, and a Meyer Sound UPM speaker for audio. We finished up as guests were starting to arrive.

”We saved the day!” was heard, wine was poured, and all was a success!

Plus it was really cool to meet Alice Waters, the founder.

Finally got to see the under-construction barn and house up in the Alexander Valley - Healdsburg, CA.

Armando and I met the client and the whole project team. Of course Lucy accompanied us and made herself right at home. She was sporting a green Mohawk, btw.

In addition to the Meyer sound system, we’re planning for a Midas M32 mix board plus back line drums and instruments.

Sean Barber advised on a cool lighting design. That will be part of the install just after the speakers and subs are flown. Looking at August/September 2023 start date.

The plan is for a turnkey concert system.
