CD ACCOMPANIMENT EDITION--DESCRIPTION: This set of 12 compact discs contains the complete contents of The Faith We Sing, so pastors and other worship leaders can provide instrumental musical accompaniment when a pianist or organist is not available. Songs use a variety of instruments appropriate for each selection, including percussion, keyboards, woodwinds, and more. The set is packaged in an attractive CD album for ease of use and storage. This terrific resource is perfect for a variety of settings, including choir rehearsals, worship services, midweek and special evening services, nursing homes and shut-ins, camps and retreats, and other times when an accompanist isn't available.

Our Story

MIDI Marvels, Inc. was founded in 1997 by Steven W. May. Our vision was to provide high-quality accompaniment music to churches and individuals.

Steve graduated from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1979 and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas, with a Master of Divinity degree in 1983. In addition to being an accomplished musician, Steve pastored Baptist Churches in Arizona, Wyoming, Nevada and Oklahoma. Like many pastors, Steve experienced struggles in the music program at a few of the churches he pastored: either unreliable instrumentalists, or none at all. In 1994, Steve began using MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) technology to enhance the music program at his church. And, in 1997, he founded MIDI Marvels, Inc., bringing together three passions: ministry, music, and technology.MIDI Marvels produces both MIDI format and compact disc digital audio accompaniment, (CDs).

We are the official producers of the MIDI and CD accompaniment editions of The 1991 Baptist Hymnal, (our largest project to date), using the orchestrations of Lifeway Christian Resources. The Entire Baptist Hymnal (1991) CD Accompaniment Edition comes in 3 parts, and is now finished, which means that the entire hymnal is now ready to ship. AND TO CELEBRATE, WE'RE SELLING ANY AND ALL PARTS, (1,2, or 3) FOR 33% OFF! (REG. $149.99 per part, now $99.99 per part. That represents a savings to you of $50.00) As previously stated,The Entire Baptist Hymnal (1991) CD Accompaniment Edition comes in 3 Parts. Here's a breakdown of each section: Part 1, Hymn Nos. 2-233, contains 11 CDs. Part 2, Hymn Nos. 235-442, contains 8 CDs. Part 3, Hymn Nos. 443-666, contains 10 CDs. (Each part contains a little over 220 hymns).

In addition, we produce selections from The Celebration Hymnal and, in cooperation with the United Methodist Publishing House, produce the MIDI and CD accompaniment editions of The Faith We Sing.
