Any upcoming releases that y'all are particularly excited about?

TRUE CVLT by Michael Bettendorf (Tenebrous Press) is on my radar, because LOOK AT THE COVER! Apparently it's a game book. Love seeing ambitious, off-beat releases like this.

What's everyone been reading lately?

I just finished Michigan Basement by Thomas Ligotti and Brendan Trenz (okay, but nowhere near classic Ligotti) and am starting Sleep Alone by J.A.W. McCarthy.

Any new weird favorites?

Saw both of these recently and each made a strong impression.

Longlegs reminded me a lot of the Japanese flick Cure. Very unnerving procedural. Roiling with menace.

Oddity had a cool take on the haunted object trope. Felt classic (and scary) w/ a great setting & acting.

One of the coolest things about our latest Ligotti tribute issue is that it has a new story from one of my greatest influences, Jon Padgett. "The Indoor Swamp, Revisited" feels like coming home.

Anyone else crazy hyped for Robert Eggers' NOSFERATU?

I truly believe 2024 is going to be looked back on as a historic year for horror. LONGLEGS, ABIGAIL, STOPMOTION, IMMACULATE, IN A VIOLENT NATURE, I SAW THE TV GLOW, and a bunch more. What are you stoked for?

Thomas Ligotti expanded the boundaries of what I thought horror could be. His work was engaging, strange, and possessed of a yearning to communicate.
