Chicago DJ community. A person wanted to hire me for DJ services to play music she picked out and provides me for a modeling show. She and a friend of hers who is a DJ feel like they should not have to pay me a dj rate because what I'm doing is just pressing play on my laptop. That's not djing. The venue has its own sound system. All I have to do is bring my laptop. She also wants me to sign her contract and not my dj contract I provide. And I am required to stand and/ or sit from 9am to 6pm to press play. All of this for $200. Oh, she also did not want to use my music productions because she said any prerecorded music samples used from DAWs is not original music made by the producer so therefore the resulting songs created is not original music made by the producer and doesn't belong to them. YOUR THOUGHTS PLEASE
