Join your fellow congregants on the evening of Thursday, January 16 for an intimate book club discussion of Our Narrow Hiding Places, conducted by the author himself, Kristopher Jansma. Visit our website to register for this program: https://www.bethelnw.org/event/Book/Jansma

Our Narrow Hiding Places follows an elderly woman as she recounts her Dutch family’s survival during the final years of N**i occupation, shedding new light on old secrets that rippled through subsequent generations. A sweeping story of survival and of the terrible cost of war--and a reminder that sometimes the traumas we inherit come along with a resilience we never imagined.

To prepare for the book club discussion, you may purchase your book at your favorite local bookseller or via Amazon. It is also available as an eBook or audiobook to be enjoyed on your choice of device.

The simply amazing Lisa Salko will continue to share the uplifting story of the ‘13 Jewish Drivers’ Licenses,’ on behalf of the Holocaust and Human Rights Education Center — via the Center’s MemoryKeepers series, next time on January 8. A story about a small Bavarian community who rallied with compassion and determination on behalf of survivors inspires hope in humanity. Link in bio.

Lisa is shown here at Yad Vashem: World Holocaust Center, Jerusalem where she spoke this past summer too and was received with great warmth and honors.
