Since 1994, Zone 8 Recording has been serving the audio needs of the region with high quality music and vocal recordings. Through the years I’ve worked hard to keep the overhead low and pass the savings along to clients. Zone 8′s goal has always been to achieve the professional quality sound of a major label CD at a fraction of the cost. In the past 15 years, I’ve had the opportunity to record eve
ry conceivable genre of music, and work with musicians of all age groups and skill levels. Ask any of our clients and they’ll tell you, the recording atmosphere here is super-relaxed and we’ll work closely with you to get the best recordings possible. No project is too big or small. We use a wide array of mics by the likes of Neumann, AKG, Sennheiser, Shure, EV, and Audio Technica. We have outboard gear by DBX, Universal Audio, Lexicon, and Alesis as well top notch recording software (Apple Logic). Clients also have the option of using any of the guitars, amps, keyboards and drums we have available (including brands such as Fender, Gretsch, Martin, Vox, Marshall, Roland and Slingerland). We also do CD mastering, and transfers of vinyl records , cassettes and reel to reel tapes to CD. Audio restoration is available for older recordings. Music beds for commercial and audio/visual media are available as well as jingles, spoken word and recorded interviews.
