This time, I sat down with Tanya Gaines, MPAS, PA-C from Texas Dermatology, one of my longest-standing clients going on 5–6 years now.

One thing I’ve always respected about Tanya is the passion she brings to her field. She genuinely cares about what she does, and as someone who feels the same way about storytelling and content creation, those conversations always hit differently.

When two people care deeply about their craft, it elevates everything:

the energy,
the experience,
the message,
and ultimately the people you serve.

That’s what I love most about this kind of work. Great content isn’t just cameras and edits. It’s built from real passion, real purpose, and real people behind it.

Had a little downtime before clients arrived, so I took some test shots and reflected on time, work, and why cameras are cheaper than therapy.

I’m Miguel Diaz. I run SOFA COUCH MEDIA 🛋️ in San Antonio.

Father of two. Degrees in biology and biochemistry. West Texas roots. Corpus Christi detour. San Antonio is home, where I met my beautiful wife, Alma.

I grew up filming quinceañeras and weddings with my dad. Spent seven years in school, worked a few jobs that paid the bills but not the soul, then decided to build something of my own.

What started as video production services transitioned to photography, animation, and eventually lead generation and media management.

Some clients have been with us almost six years, which feels less like marketing and more like a long-term agreement to keep showing up.

We’re not for everyone. That’s intentional.

But if you believe good work compounds and trust matters more than trends, we’re in it for the long haul.

Best part of the job: helping small business owners turn ideas into something real.
