Dont be deceived by this picture. there are no direct flights, you must stop in Sydney/ Brisbane or Manila and 21 hrs and 55 minutes is a joke, it takes more like 36 total with lay overs. BTW the Brisbane airport is not bad to sleep in, lots of leather sofas. I fly on Aug 4th

I flew to Papua New Guinea (PNG) last month to oversee some work on the Ship m/v YWAM Liberty. The amount of work to get a 215 foot ship back in full operation is extensive. My end of the work is massive amounts of paperwork, laws and manuals. Jill was not able to travel with because she can not take the medication for Malaria while being treated for Cancer. I will fly back to PNG in Aug. Please pray for the countless details we must finish of to return the ship to full ministry operation, the goal is Aug 20th.

This gives you an idea of the need and how GOD is moving in these isolated islands... yes there are still places missionaries have not visited, or not visited in a long time... like this story, it had been 60 years since the last missionary visited !!

February 13th is my Birthday !!! ??? Forty years ago I accepted Jesus as my savior. What an exciting ride it has been. its hard to reflect on it all. But I thank GOD for his direction in my life. And most of all my eternal future......

The "3rd man" referred to in the POST below is shown here at my wedding (30 plus years ago) and very recently in California . As I said he is a missionary in Nicaragua and has served there over 25 years. Praise GOD for faithful servants.

CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY the people you cross path with on such a big mission base that exists all over the world. TOM, the man below and myself have known each other for 37 years. the three man picture proves it. He was visiting from Canada for a week to paint the mission base ( that sleeps 140) it was so great to catch up with old friends and how satisfying to see them still in Ministry. The 3rd man (middle) in the picture is still in the mix, he is currently in Nicaragua serving as a missionary on the largest inhabited fresh water island. We are crossing path with other old friends as well.

Praise God most of our boxes arrived a few days after the car, The small ones are books, the large ones are personal items. There are 2 boxes missing, even though sent at the same time two of them are stuck in Guam !!! ( makes no sense to me) They were delivered to my mother's assisted living facility. Pray she adjust to the new style of living....

Good news, Our little (not even a grand caravan) old (1997) minivan arrived safely. Having a car makes so many details easier. It came to a part 2 hours away and we drove across the island. Oddly enough the center of the island looks like our mission trip to Kenya Africa. It is not lush and green its full of small trees and scrub brush in anything goes at all in the Volcanic rock ( just a little trivia for you all) BTW, we shipped this old car because it only had 63K miles on it when we got it. It is very practical to have in missions.

We want to thank you all for your prayers , We made it without events, as you can see from the post below housing is an issue we still need prayer for, we have a long term place (6months) starting April 10th, we are in temp housing now but at the end of the month we run into a 6 week gap we must fill. We are diligently looking for places this week....

we are less than 2 weeks from leaving and need some prayer. there is a huge housing crisis in Kona and long term housing is a problem as most places make more money as a vacation rental making it hard for people like us to afford a decent place. We have temp housing for February only, then we need to find a long term place...... so please pray

This will give you a glimpse of what Jill and I are desiring to return to . We are waiting on God for some confirmations but the door is clearly open but we know it will not be without some battles to make it happen. Please pray with us as we take a new venture of faith.
