WX UPDATE 7:30AM: Expect widespread light rain ahead of the warm front. As the front passes, widespread moderate to at times heavy rain showers can be expected. Winds have also increased with gusts already ranging around 25-35mph in spots, including the the Big Sur Coast, Pebble, and the Salinas Valley.

It's been windy, yes, but outside of Santa Cruz County, rain has been disappointing. While overall forecast totals are now lower, the main event is yet to come. WX UPDATE: After a little break, rain activity is starting to pick back up. Expect light to moderate rain. Winds will continue to be gusty. The strongest impacts from this system will be late this afternoon/ early evening.
