Lafayette senior Jackson Perkins becomes the 4th state wrestling champion in school history with a 7-4 win over Jace Renfro of Seneca. A takedown with less than 20 seconds left sealed it.
He improves from a 3rd place finish last year and ends the year at 52-1.

Savannah’s Jade Brundige overcomes 2-0 hole and scores two at the last moment on a near fall to beat Mid-Buchanan’s Delanie Smith, a defending state champ, 6-4 at 115 pounds.
Smith had beat Brundige twice this year, including in the district title bout. Brundige, a sophomore, goes back-to-back seasons as a state champion.

With this win in the 4x400, the North Platte girls’ track team clinches the Class 2 team title at state track for a second straight season!
Olivia Rogers with her 3rd gold medal of the day as she brings it home. She also won the 100 and 200. North Platte led by a point when this race began over Father Tolton.

The East Buchanan boys’ 4x800 meter relay team took first with a school record time of 8:16.97. Aidan Hensley, Parker Conroy, Carson White and Kyler Paxton all ran the race. The Bulldogs have won three state titles so far this week.

Exciting day for the Mosaic Life Care Foundation announced the Mosaic Children's Discovery center that will come to downtown St. Joseph.
The idea has been around for quite some time, but now development will begin. The hope is for the discovery center to be open by the Fall of 2024.
