Meet Marianne, one of our newest FutureBook Representatives! 🌟Joining us in September 2023 from Vancouver BC. A fun fact about Marianne: she was a yearbook editor during her high school graduation year at Delta Secondary School!📚

Taking a full-circle journey, Marianne transitioned from her role as a camera assistant in the film industry to working in the yearbook and graphic design industry. Her favourite aspect of her role is sharing her passion and knowledge to other students. Marianne has always had a passion for teaching, and now, she’s thrilled to have the opportunity to do so in her current position.

During her free time, Marianne can be found enjoying nature, being creative in her studio, teaching fitness classes and doing all things dance and circus.🌟

🌎 Today, on Earth Day, we at FutureBook want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your support in our journey towards restoration and sustainability.

This school year alone, we've planted 15,000 trees, 2,500 kelp, created 39 work days, and taken 1,057 cars off the road, contributing to a healthier planet and brighter future 🌳💚

Thanks to our partnership with we’ve been able to track and verify that our trees are not only being planted, but we’re also able to monitor and measure their ongoing impact.

Here's to continuing this journey together!

🌟 Meet Jess Petryshyn, one of our newest reps at FutureBook! Originating from Edmonton, Alberta, Jess found her way to Kelowna in 2020, bringing with her a wealth of design expertise. Having graduated from MacEwan University's Design Studies program, Jess honed her skills in graphic design, laying the foundation for her future journey into the world of yearbooks.📚 Joining FutureBook Yearbooks in September 2023, Jess may be new to the yearbook scene, but she boasts nearly nine years of experience in graphic design.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Jess finds joy in the culinary arts, delighting in the creation of new recipes. She also finds solace in painting and illustration, drawing inspiration from the picturesque landscapes of the Okanagan. A nature enthusiast, Jess can often be found traversing the region's hiking trails or embracing the great outdoors through summer camping adventures🏕️

What truly captivates Jess about her work at FutureBook is the opportunity to impart her design knowledge to students, nurturing their creativity and guiding them through the process of creating stunning yearbooks. Jess eagerly anticipates the culmination of the students' hard work, awaiting the unveiling of the final masterpiece.🌟

Meet Lance, another one of our outstanding FutureBook representatives! 🌟 Seattleite through and through! Originally from the Seattle area, but briefly ventured to Spokane for five years and found his way back home for good. He was in the first graduating class of the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies. With a 24-year career as a sales consultant and manager in the printing industry, Lance transitioned to FutureBook in 2011 and has been a valuable part of the team ever since. He is passionate about working with students and turning their ideas into tangible finished products that will last the test of time. He finds it rewarding to transform imagined concepts into concrete realities 🌟 Lance enjoys quality time with family and friends, woodworking, gardening, and working on anything that needs fixing!

Little known fact: Lance once took a shot at becoming a pitcher for the Seattle Mariners Baseball Club! ⚾

Meet one of our outstanding FutureBook representatives! 🌟 Kevin Betteridge is a seasoned veteran of the yearbook industry and has helped schools across BC achieve new levels of design with their yearbooks for over 25 years. Originally hailing from the prairies, Kevin is a graduate of Ryerson's Film and Photography degree program and is happy to share his photography and design skills with his schools. He has directed numerous single and multi-day workshops, and is dedicated to providing a superior level of service and support to his customers. Kevin is a true believer in the value of the yearbook learning experience and, year after year, he continues to be amazed by the quality of students who are attracted to yearbook and the levels of creativity they possess.

When he is not helping his schools create amazing yearbooks, Kevin cherishes time spent with his wife and two teenage children and enjoys hiking, skiing, hockey and spending countless hours at the rink watching his son's team in action. Maintaining a sense of humour is important to Kevin, as he jokes: "They say it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert at something... I think I'm closing in on being an expert hockey parent by now"!

For every yearbook sold, we plant a tree, helping restore what we take. Thank you to all our schools! Let’s keep up the fantastic work in creating a greener, more sustainable future. 🌍💚

We’re so excited that Amos and his journey to Earth is landing soon! Keep an eye out for Amos From Uranus, about a spirited alien who helpfully guides children to be better stewards of our plant. Posted • Did you know each year more than 20 million trees are destroyed for the production of book papers, and deforestation is the source of 25% of human caused greenhouse gas emissions.

That’s why I’m so proud to have partnered with to print my children’s book using eco-friendly bamboo paper - for a dramatically smaller carbon footprint! 🌎💚

As you actively promote your Yearbook, you need to keep in mind your advertising placement, especially with many students still engaged in remote learning because of covid. Placement just means putting your ads in places your target audience will see them. School pages and team pages are good places to start!
