After years of global adventures, Kristina and Andy Simpson finally settled in Crestmoor in 2022, bringing with them two kids, a dog, and a love for community. From soccer tournaments to coffee roasting, their passion for connection shines through.

🐾Say hello to Charlie!🐾

Charlie is a charming 4-year-old miniature Bernese Mountain Dog.🐶 He moved into the neighborhood in 2022. 🏠You may see him out in the neighborhood as he loves going for walks. Charlie is well-behaved, smart, and great with other people and dogs. 🐕

In this month's Making A Difference Column, we highlighted Aleaha’s Journey 🎀

After losing her housing due to incarceration, Aleaha found hope at The Delores Project. Four months post-release, she joined TDP and, with their Rapid Rehousing Program, secured a home for herself and her daughter within two months.

Since 2000, The Delores Project has grown from a winter shelter to a 24/7 haven with 35 supportive housing units and comprehensive services, fostering healing and community.

In 1971, Pete Moutzouris left his family farm in Greece with a dream, a heart full of hope, and no English. 🐾 November’s Precious Pet: Louie! 🐾

Meet Louie, an 11-year-old labradoodle with an unstoppable love for balls! Named after the sweet Greek treat Loukoumada, Louie is always ready to jump, catch, and play—especially when his buddy, Charlie, visits from NYC. Louie leaves his favorite balls outside Charlie’s door as a hint for some playtime!

From walks in Crestmoor Park to splashes at Cherry Creek Dog Park, Louie still has the heart and energy of a puppy. Louie’s dream adventure? The mountains, with plenty of water to splash around in! 🐶❤️
