The legendary Leo "the" Lyon. What an awesome guy to be blessed with for a dad. They say it doesn't often work to be best friends and father & son. On MOST days we pulled it off epically. When we didn't, we failed at doing so in amazing fashion.

Those failures weren't due to a bad father. Leo was as great a guy as you could ask for. He retired from his career to help run the professional sports team we owned together. Years later, he became the best Unit Production Manager on film sets you could ask for as he was a rock of loyalty.

Throughout my life my father gave up for me. He never missed a football game and was on the sidelines for many. Heck, I even had to talk him out of dragging himself to every weekend wrestling tournament because lord knows he did not find them exciting in between my matches.

On this Father's Day, I give tribute to the great guy he was and what a blessing my parents were as a team. Any and all of my successes can be contributed to the dedication and love they had for their son.

The proudest moment of my life is still the day I was able to surprise him with a new car for his birthday at Ho***rs. There's still a video of it on my instagram for anyone who wants to check it out at "TheRealBradLyon" on IG.

Ignore the date stamp on that photo. Due to Facebook accidentally removing my original Facebook account, I no longer have many photos of either of my parents as I failed to back them up. Leo passed away on October 1, 2016; two days after his birthday.

What a crazy voyage it has been without you. Thank you for teaching me to hoist the sales so I was able to continue the journey.

Reminder - Killer Keg is set to premiere December 10th. Currently slated for a Florida premiere, but we are considering taking it to L.A. unless there's a big demand for it in Florida.

Thursday the 12TH hit theatres in roughly a dozen states, played at AMC and CW locations as well as some of the best art house theatres in the East half of the country. It's not getting ready for Home Video and VOD and will release on Amazon Prime.

We've working to bring back Monsters on Main Street, Little Creeps, and Minor League all with home video and VOD options late this year!

Interesting fact, when including TV series episodes, Todd Bridges actually holds the record for having appeared in the most Lyon Productions films.

Todd Bridges, known for such TV Classics as Different Strokes and Everybody Hates Chris while also starring in such movies as Dickie Roberts, appeared in the following movies produced or directed by Brad Leo Lyon (typing in 3rd person):

Roommates The Series - Roommates the Series, aka Roommates on Elm Street (the series was literally shot on Elm street haha) featured Todd as the landlord in 3 episodes of season 1.

Thursday the 12TH - He plays Daryl in our new film and of course can be seen in the trailer at https://youtu.be/hYS9P-4vEx0?si=gGWgA5Tiqqgcibc4 -- Interested thing for fans - the name Daryl is actually a tribute to TWO productions, one I'm a fan of and one I created. Though only known as the Landlord in the 3 aired episodes of Roommates, we later find out his name was actually Daryl in episode 6! Can you guess what movie we paid tried to with this name?

I previously mentioned he was tied with Saved By The Bell's Dustin Diamond. Dusting appeared in Minor League, College Fright Night, Little Creeps, was slated to appear in Thursday the 12th and was even referenced in the film.

Dustin and Todd worked together several times, including both appearing in Dickie Roberts and Pauly Shore Is Dead. -- Fun Fact, Pauly Shore was briefly attached to Minor League before Dustin Diamond replaced him in the cast. (Such a small world.)

Tied with Dustin of course is my dear friend, the late Robert Z'Dar. Bobby Z as he's known as in the real world appeared in Little Creeps (with Dustin), Monsters on Main Street (with Todd), and College Fright Night (with both). He passed away before joining me on my next film and died prior to finishing his work on CFN. (Sadly a number of people died during that production.)

KILLER KEG ANNOUNCES PREMIERE DATE!

Tuesday, March 19 2024 - Lyon Productions is proud to announce we've set a tentative date for the premiere of Killer Keg for Tuesday, December 10th!

Killer Keg is currently in post production with a goal of being complete in October. As the film is set within a Christmas timeline, December was selected for the premiere to fit in theme. A promotional tour of the movie will be scheduled for early 2025 at theaters around the USA.

The movie faced its own set of horrors as it battled covid, hurricane Ian, and a national union strike to see the light of day. Regardless of the obstacles, Lyon Productions and Brad Leo Lyon stayed committed to seeing the film through to completion.

Though post production is on going, a number of additional scenes are expected to be shot to improve the movie. FX legend Greg McDougall has been secured and is in creation of a new, updated versions of the monster "Frau Perchta," who appears in the film. He is widely known for such movies as War of the Worlds, Netflix's Day Shift starring Jamie Foxx, the 2019 sequel to the Shinning Doctor Sleep, and even the TV series Stranger Things.

The Walking Dead's Lew Temple will also be making his debut in the film during those pickups. His previous scenes are being reshot in combination with McDougall's work on the film.

Today we're officially announcing Thursday the 12TH is going to India. We are an official selection of the Chambal International Film Festival. The festival has also been kind enough to extend an offer of hospitality to me as a special guest. So, I am considering making my second trip around the globe to India.

I'm very proud of the reception this film has received. We've been selected to numerous festivals in multiple countries now. In addition, we've won several awards including a best of Florida award right here at the Treasure Coast International Film Festival.

I wish I could have done a better job of marketing and promoting the movie when we released in theaters. Beyond our promotional tour where we had several cities provide us a strong turn out, our regular theatrical releases did not do that great as we simply didn't have the budget to let the world know.

On the plus side, not only am I proud that the reviews have been positive, I'm likewise happy to say we made it to the cinema. Few movies can every make that claim outside of a theatrical premiere and we were able to release in nearly a dozen states.

My thanks to everyone that was part of the journey that's made this movie a success up to this point. We'll be working hard to acquire a VOD and Home Video release prior to streaming so keep your eyes out.
