Attention CFF family, our annual Grit Iron games are right around the corner on October 27th and we are going big this year to include LOTS of fun and games for our community! We will also be celebrating FALL and all of the fun that comes along with it. Would you help us out by bringing in candy donations to pass out to the kids in attendance? Along with passing out candy, we will have an obstacle course, bounce houses by Kingdom Bounce Houses and face painting! Not to mention Check Six Brewing Company, High Tide Helicopters and pictures by CLT Photography just to name a few! Can’t bring in candy, that’s ok! This is a behind the scenes look at Real Estate Staging! A super fun project that I got to produce for Kim Manley Ausbury from Staged & Styled this Winter. :) Local Companies added beauty to this home as well. JED’S Hardwood Flooring installed floors & a custom piece was purchased from DriftWood Custom Designs in the Village Shoppes in Southport, NC.

CLT Photography has been able to do a lot of great things this year! Here are some photos from Lifesong for Orphans in Haiti. They are discipling the villages of Bercy and Te Nwa and providing much needed jobs, food, housing, and education. Our team was able to paint their guard shack and spend time playing with and snuggling with the children whose parents are often gone for the day to work. We were educated on how we can help meet the current needs and help build the Lifesong Ministry by seeing the local villages and talking with the people there about their greatest needs, which they said are: Water, Health Care, and Education.

My Story

CLT Photography is run by me, Casey Lauren Townsend. I am located in Southport, NC and have been a local photographer here for 10 years. I work in Southport, Oak Island, and surrounding areas by request.

My love for Video & Photography came from my Grandfather (Paw Paw), who was always ahead of the technological curve for his time. He had a movie camera in the 1950’s, I’m assuming so because he and my Grandmother (Nanny) had waited long to have their children after losing their first child. Paw Paw never wanted to miss a thing. He upgraded over the years, and when I was Elementary aged, he bought a Camcorder that recorded everything onto a VHS tape and was too large for my tiny shoulders.

I remember borrowing his camera for home movies and longing to know how to get the video from “there” (the camera) to “there” (the T.V.). Without the advantage of technological savvy in my home, I was at a loss! I kept an interest, but did not have a true outlet until College. I purchased my own Video Camera to film documentary footage on a 2-month trip to Kenya, and upon returning to the U.S., I found the Geek Squad. :)

They helped me figure out this crazy thing called a “firewire cable”, and gave me the basics to get me going to create my first Wedding Video in 2005. The outcome of that beautiful project inspired me to keep on creating and telling people’s stories. Here I am 14 years later, still filming and still photographing candid moments.
