The Evolution of the Black Man

Back in the day, being a breadwinner was the pinnacle of being a good man. If the man had spirituality then it was even better. If he had experience on the streets but was not always in the streets, then that man was bordering on a perfect match. To top it off, if he was an attentive father, and had prestige in the community, the woman would thank God for this gift of a man.
In this day, it is hard to even see many of these excellent qualities in the majority of our adult men, and even rarer to see the potential present in today's Black youth. It doesn't just happen, it is instilled. It is nurtured. It is trained and it is passed down. With the current statistics saying that 75% of the African-American women in the US are single mother households does not bode well for future generations. The child needs both of the gifts from each parent in order to survive. Of course, there are always exceptions, but it is normally youth and adults who get connected with meaningful relationships through extended family, mentors, or a valued friendship.
When these rights of passage are not passed down, the youth will become the destroyers of the community because they have no connection to the community. Their compass is ineffective and it takes longer for them to navigate the perils and ills of the past. It also makes it more difficult to have hope for the future, so they abandon this vision, for immediate goals, that were not necessary.
In a recent interview, Trayvon Martin's mother admitted that she did not think that it was necessary to explain to her son about the "Black Code" or what some people call the jim crow laws. These are laws of how a Black male acts in a white society and will heighten their chances at being able to conform to becoming a law abiding citizen, being around to having a family, and ultimately becoming a breadwinner.
I have witnessed in my own life that something extraordinary is happening and I doubt that most people are aware of what the actual impetus of this change is so I will share a charter for the evolution of the Black Man.
For centuries, women have been dominated by men. They have sacrificed for the family and the greater good of the family. They put in their time. Now, the world is swinging to a more balanced picture of equality of the sexes and like the movement of the pendulum, it has swung to the other side of the spectrum. Women are not willing to tolerate with average, with the unchecked vices of men, with mediocrity, with physical, emotional abuse, with casual infidelity or with nonsense. They are claiming and demanding true respect, so what that means is that men, can no longer rest on their laurels of just being a man, by gender, but being a man, by definition.
Here's a list of things that the current Black man must do in order to save the Black family.
1. Fight the temptation to chase money at the cost of the family unit. They need money, but they need your presence more.
2. Understand, search out and achieve an understanding of the ancient questions about destiny, purpose, and meaning in life, so that your children and helpmeet can also be aware.
3. Be righteous. Be God Fearing, and become more virtuous.
4. Avoid all types of control, manipulation, game, and be willing to consult, validate, listen, and be even be led by the women in your life, so that all can become leaders in certain aspect in the home.
5. Avoid causal, emotional, and physical infidelity and keep it all regulated with your companion, spouse or woman.
6. Build up and edify the law of marriage and work diligently at all times to create an everlasting bond, never letting up and letting the relationship get stale.
7. Be financially acute. Understand the importance of good credit, a good education, having a financial plan, including stocks, bonds, and a portfolio, as well as having a living will. Avoid playing the lottery and wasting money on the lottery, formal or street gambling, and bad business deals.
8. Have a plan of how to love the members of your family completely and update this plan every 5 years, and review it annually.
9. Get counseling on your past issues that you dealt with as a child and youth, so that this is not brought into the marriage.
10. See the beauty of the Black women and champion their independence, make the beauty of their image to rival the White woman's and treat them good, like queens.
11. Realize that we can take nothing with us when we die, so strengthen the things that will define your legacy. Have strong bonds, serve your community with an abundance of good deeds, love yourself and know yourself, be knowledge of all of the good things and scriptures send down to us in order to share with your seed, and sacrifice greatly to have a wealth of virtues, as well as have a good financial storehouse for your children's children, so that the next generation can exceed yours, but also accustom them to hardship and don't make them soft and ill-prepared by trying to have them avoid the things that made you who you are, from your upbringing.
I could be wrong, but I see that we have to do much more, to achieve the basic definition of a man, of a soul, in this day, in order to heal the Black family.

We can’t fake our death and hide.
We can’t be high.
We can’t be drunk.
We can’t eat whites only 🥧.
We can’t be punks.
We can’t be dissed.
We can’t be pi**ed.
We can’t breathe.
We can’t sheathe.
We can’t leave back to Mother.
We can’t protect and keep our Brothers.
We can’t find the Promised One.
Because we can’t put down our guns.
We can’t rehabilitate our enslaved.
We can’t even be men in our caves.
We can’t be queens in our 🏰 domains.
We can’t seem to find a way to eliminate our greatest pains.
We can’t use 100% of our 🧠 brains.
We can’t seem to maintain being sane.
We can’t kneel.
We can’t be appeal.
What can we do that won’t receive your scorn America?
