Tyler Consolidated Athletes Visit SES
Video by Vance Ash. Tyler Consolidated athletes paid a visit to Sistersville Elementary School this morning. How amazing, and hopefully the video puts a smile on your face. :)
Just a small video of some molasses making processes. :) (We are not videographers by any means, but hopefully you enjoy anyway.)
A couple more videos... Tyler Consolidated's Brass Ensemble :)
Please excuse the low quality video (cell phone), but here is a portion of a winning American Legion scholarship essay Jace Glover wrote. He read it today at the Memorial Day service in Middlebourne.

Heading home!
Good morning Tyler County.
There is a lot of news in Wednesday's paper.
That said, as many of you know, I'm heading to south to the Outer Banks. This video was taken recently at the ferry crossing by the Currituck Sound.

Also, I want to put this part of the farewell column on social media for one final goodbye to the folks who made this a good tour of duty. Much thanks goes to Ed Parsons, resident sports writer, who offered me counsel and friendship. Also, thanks to Victoria Thomas who gave me some good advice on my first day - "There's no seven degrees of separation, there's one degree of separation in Tyler County." That advice served me well. As to my colleague Lauren Matthews at the Wetzel Chronicle, thanks for the time, the texts and more that made the job interesting. You are one of the good ones. Per Wetzel Chronicle sports writer Bruce Crawford, thanks for rushing into that cloud of toxic chlorine gas - the Axiall story that made national headlines. Yeah, he did that for an interview and some photos. Much respect. Much praise goes to publisher Brian Clutter and ad salesman Rick Loy and Zach Blair for keeping the lights on. Also thanks to Diann Wright to keeping the legals flowing, the doors open.
Good luck Chad Turner, who steps up to fill the best job in Tyler County.
Flooding
This quick movie of Wednesday's flooding was filmed yesterday by Joni Lianne -- Long Drain School on Rt 7 out of Hundred. Wow! Anybody with flood pics, maybe send them to the Tyler Star News.
Sistersville Santa -- Thanks Martin!
Because the editor didn't want to torture other families/kids during that all-important talk with Santa, one of his own kids willingly "volunteered" to have a talk recorded on video. Santa -- a good man, maybe the best -- spoke to dozens of kids after Friday's Christmas parade through Sistersville.
