These two videos came from the same spherical/360 source.

The full spherical version lets the viewer decide where to look.

In the "reframed" version, during editing, I decided what is presented to the viewer out of the entire sphere that was recorded.

Imagine how you could use spherical video!

Well, some demand never dies!

Gerry Roach received an order for this DVD (shot in 4x3 SD with a Sony VX-2000) we produced in 2006. We had none on hand. Hard to believe but I was able to find the assets, fire up an old Windows XP computer, and make some with my Primera Bravo Pro!

Adobe continues to enhance the 3D capabilities of After Effects (this was done with the current beta version).

Assets used:
- Stock image of "the moon in space"
- Stock music and sound effects
- Free 3D model of a space ship
- 3D scan of an alien doll I own

Good news on the "fit to work" front....

Full eye exam after 2+ years without one came back with a slight change in prescription and "very minor signs of cataracts". :-)

Brain & eyes are my primary tools, not cameras and computers. ;-)

I leave my editing workstation powered on 24/7. I've been questioned many times why I "waste electricity" doing that. Yes, that system does suck a lot of power.

Here's my reasoning:

1) Studies show that power/heat cycling is tough on hardware. I want max reliability from this system!

2) The system does an automated incremental backup every night at 11pm.

3) Often some creative idea pops into my head at a random moment. I'm far more likely to act on it if I don't have to spend time turning the system back on.

Your power paradigm may vary. :-)

Practice. Practice. Practice. :-) This short piece helped me get more familiar with Adobe Character Animator. I also used Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects.

This video was the result of a great remote collaboration with a startup client on the west coast - EnlitenAI. It's a mixture of assets supplied by the client, assets created by me, human voice (mine), computer generated voice, and custom animation.

Yep, getting rare, but some folks still order discs!

A taste of some of the goings-on from Sturgis 2021 at the Sturgis Buffalo Chip campground. (The original video used in this production was recorded by me while working for the Buffalo Chip Campground, LLC. I thank them for allowing me to use the video for this personal production.)

This video was completed a while ago. The company's legal team just gave the go ahead for me to share it. Working with inventors is energizing!

My grandson is a proud videographer! I'm off to the Sturgis Buffalo Chip tomorrow to shoot concerts, motorcycle races, bike shows, shenanigans, and participant interviews. Hmmm....maybe he can intern for me? He'd love it! He'll certainly get a t-shirt or two (size 4t says mom).
