May 2024 Updates

• beginning in June, all proposed ordinances will be considered at least twice before voted on

• New computer software for Public Works making it easier to report a problem & request work to be done!

• the recent severe weather has pushed them back on scheduled maintenance. The damage to roads and bridges from the storms take priority. Please be patient.

• Still working hard to come up with a plan to improve ambulance response times, especially in rural areas. Please contact me with any ideas!

• CONGRATULATIONS to the 2024 South Beau Golden Knights baseball team on the 2nd baseball state championship in school history!!

• finally, congratulations to all of the graduating SBHS Class of 2024 💜💛

The Louisiana Department of Veteran’s Affairs is closed statewide due to inclement weather.

Offices will be reopened as soon as the threat of severe weather passes.

REMINDER 🚨

Today, Monday January 15th is a Federal Holiday - Martin Luther King Day

Tuesday January 16th through Wednesday January 17th are Severe Weather Alert days.

• You MAY experience delays in your trash pickup. Do not be alarmed!

• Regular trash pickup will resume in a timely manner after the holiday is over and the severe weather has passed.

• PLEASE Leave the trash at the roadside and it will be picked up as soon as possible!

• Please keep in mind the trash trucks will be overloaded and may not take all your garbage at once; it may take 2 passes to complete your pickup.

Call your Police Juror if you have any questions!

For all those living in Police Jury District 3C, please call me at 337-842-1858 if you have any questions about delayed trash pickup.

“This lady here......I am so fortunate to know her and glad I was able to help her, if only a little, during her campaign for Police Juror District C. I drove her a couple of times while she went door to door to introduce herself to many of the people in her district and to work on road signs. Every time a door opened to her, there were smiles on both sides of the threshold and many lengthy conversations. While on the road, she received calls to her phone from people who asked about her platform and voiced their concerns.

I saw the same Beth I have known for years: honest, open, friendly, a devout Christian, and a woman who cares deeply for her family and her community. If I lived in District C, she would surely have my vote.”
