The Puyallup Post is the student-led newspaper of Pierce College Puyallup, founded in 1994. The Post publishes 9-12 print editions per year in the fall, winter, and spring quarters and also runs an online publication at puyalluppost.com. AWARDS:

The student media teams are searching
for creative co-workers.

This is a work-from-home opportunity until campus reopens.
Starting pay: $13.94/hr
Starting hours: 10-15hrs/week
Positions begin in late August and will continue throughout the 2021-22 school year.


It's great opportunity for someone looking for part-time employment within the college that offers a flexible schedule. Students who work for the media teams will bring new voices to publications to give us fresh perspectives.

1. Cover letter describing your interest
2. Resume of skills and experience
3. List of three professional references
4. Submitting two to five samples of your writing, photography, illustrations or graphic designs is highly encouraged.

Positions available:
Editor-in-Chief: The student in charge of the content and reputation of the publication.
Managing Editor: The second in charge who connects with the editor-in-chief and the team members.
Online Manager: The student responsible for the look and content on the website.
Social Media Manager: The student who creates the content for the social platforms.
Reporter: The students who research, interview, and write stories.
Photographer: The students who take photos.
Videographer: The students who create videos appropriate for the college audience.
Podcaster: The students who create podcasts appropriate for the college audience.


Requirements: Team members need to take 10 credits each quarter from fall to spring and maintain a 2.7 grade point average.

Congrats Hannah!

Congratulations to Hannah Rongen, sophomore middle blocker on the Raider Volleyball team, for being selected the National 2-Year College Player of the Week by the American Volleyball Coaches Association! Hannah is the first Raider to receive this award! Hannah's phenomenal performances last week led to two big wins over Lower Columbia and Centralia.
