Howdy! Barb, here. It's hard to believe it's already Thursday! Gary will be going back to ABQ Saturday morning, and staying there for a full four weeks this time. Phillip's ankles are doing better and he is preparing to take the final wildfire fighter test the second week of June. I am hoping that everything works out so that I can go to ABQ for most of August, all of September, and October. I am testing some apps to help me schedule postings, and save me some time in maintaining the groups I admin. As part of my program, I'm using the Bitmoji app to create a personal avatar that I can change up a bit everytime I sign in. Thing is I tried adding a post to Our Family earlier from my profile using this app and while the app shows that it published, I could not find the post anywhere in our group. Right now, Gary is running the carpet cleaner and the noise is quite distracting. I'm going to schedule this post from my creator page to see if publishes to our group. I'll be back in group soon to see if it worked. Happy Thursday, everyone!

The dawning of a new era for me today! My first iOS smart devices are scheduled to arrive late this afternoon! I expect this to be a positive game-changer in my live streaming efforts from here on out. My primary motivation in making the switch is because of my desire to take advantage of Amazon LIVE by Fall and Amazon still doesn't do Windows.

Happy New Year, Facebook Followers! Due to the "new page experience" rolling out on this platform, I'm checking the LIKES/FOLLOWS settings today. Facebook will be removing LIKES from pages, switching exclusively to FOLLOWS so I wanted to be sure everyone who added their LIKE thinking they would be notified of updates also clicks the FOLLOW button. Since the day I launched this page, I have been focusing on building and maintaining online communities through Facebook groups. I have a hunch that many of you who follow this page found it because I added this page as an ADMIN in a group you are in. Your continued support is greatly appreciated. I think I've finally figured out how to make it worth your while.🤗

Howdy from Barb Tomlin aka BarbTUSA - I do not promote this page as my time on Facebook is primarily spent in the many Facebook groups I manage or am a member of. You see, I've been online since the electronic bulletin board days and that's where my education in online community building began. It was from the BBS discussion boards that we introduced ourselves and eventually exchanged offline contact information, which in turn led to lifetime relationships. I am currently studying to take the Facebook Community Manager Certification exam as I have determined that the course of study will enhance the quality of my contributions to the groups I am in as well as the quality of groups I manage. This morning's study session for the exam group is a review of Facebook Community Standards. As a member of any social platform, you should seek out its "Community Standards" and make sure you understand and comply with them. During the September 2018 challenge I discovered Attorney Angela Langlotz.
