The NBA fined Minnesota Timberwolves star, #AnthonyEdwards, $75,000 on Monday for using profane language while publicly criticizing officials following his teamâs Saturday loss to the Golden State Warriors.
Edwards criticized referees Wright and Corbin, except for Simone Jelks, for unequal treatment, claiming they favored the Warriors.
âTheyâre f***ing terrible. All of âem, besides the woman,â Edwards said to reporters at his locker. âBut the other two dudes, terrible. Excuses for the reason they call a foul, the reason they donât call a foul. That s*** was terrible.â
âThey donât wanna talk back to my coach, they donât wanna talk back to me,â he added. âI said one thing to the ref, he gave me a tech. Motherf***er told one of my teammates if I wouldâve said, âYâall calling a bad foul,â he wouldnât have given me a tech. Theyâre just sensitive and theyâre terrible... they penalize me and [Julius Randle] for being stronger than our opponent every night. Donât get no calls. So yeah, thatâs how I feel about the officials, every game we play.â
Edwards was previously fined $35,000 last month for throwing up the middle finger during a road game against the Sacramento Kings, and $25,000 for using profanity while praising teammates to reporters after a win over the Warriors.

Family Matters star Jaleel White said on the Higher Learning podcast he shouldâve used better choice of words after he was criticized for saying Family Matters is not one of the top-rated Black sitcoms because itâs not a hood story.
During a book promotion of his book on November 17th in Delaware, he believes the show ranks low for Black people when discussing favorite shows among Black family households.
White, who starred as Steve Urkel and Stefan Urquelle, felt that the show doesnât fully belong to the pantheon of Blackness, as it is often treated as a monolithic experience in entertainment. He believes that if Family Matters were a general ranking for family shows, it would rank high, reflecting how Black people view themselves. The hood comment has sparked controversy.

#AdamBennefield (47) was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for the murder of his estranged wife, Keaira Hudson, in front of her children, in Northeast Buffalo. He was also found guilty of three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of aggravated criminal contempt, according to WGRZ News. In adddition, heâs also ordered to pay a total of $8,000 in fines for his charges. Hudson was shot in the head outside her car with her three children (including a infant) in the backseat on October 5, 2022. WGRZ News report that Hudson was wearing a bulletproof vest when her husband shot her. During his hearing, the judge stopped Bennefield in midsentence after it appeared that he wasnât taking full accountability for murdering his wife, and called him a narcissist. Things got heated between Bennefield and the judge before he kicked him out. Bennefield claimed it was against the law to have a completely white jury. âThat is a set-up,â he said to the judge. âSo if you wanna send me out there, Iâll go out there but you know what the law is and you havenât followed it and neither has you, and neither has you. Everybody sat here is âŚ,â he said.âAll right,â the judge said. âHear me out, shut up! Get him out of here!â Bennefield had previously served 15 years for an armed kidnapping of two women, one of whom was an ex-girlfriend.
