SLOW COOKER BEEF TIPS
Ingredients
1 small onion, sliced
8 oz baby Bella mushrooms, sliced
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 lb sirloin steak, cut in strips, excess fat trimmed
Salt & pepper
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup dry red wine + splash for deglazing
2-½ cups fat free beef broth
2 tbsp corn starch + ¼ cup cold water, whisked together
Preparation
Place the onions and mushrooms into the bottom of a 4.5 quart slow cooker.
Then, heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Generously season the steak strips with salt and pepper and add them to the hot skillet, and sear the meat on all sides, about 3 minutes; do not cook through.
Place the meat into the slow cooker on top of the vegetables.
Splash a couple tablespoons of red wine into the hot skillet and scrape the bottom to remove any browned meat bits. Add these to the crock pot.
Season the beef with pepper a second time and add the Worcestershire sauce, red wine, and beef broth. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Uncover and slowly whisk in the cornstarch and water mixture. Cover and cook on high for another 45 minutes or until the gravy has thickened.
Serve the beef tips over brown rice (shown), buttered egg noodles, or mashed potatoes.

Caramel Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies

Caramel Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies are a delightful treat that combines the classic chocolate chip cookie with a gooey caramel center. Here’s a simple recipe to make these delicious cookies:

Ingredients:

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Approximately 24 soft caramel candies, halved
Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
In a larger bowl, beat the butter with both sugars until smooth and creamy. Add the salt, vanilla, and eggs, beating well after each addition.
Gradually blend in the dry ingredients and stir in the chocolate chips.
Scoop the dough into balls, then press a piece of caramel into the center of each ball, making sure the caramel is completely covered by the dough.
Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Shrimp with garlic butter sauce 🍤🥰

INGREDIENTS:

• 500 grams of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
• 4 tablespoons of butter
• 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
• 1/4 cup of white wine (optional)
• Juice of 1 lemon
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
• French bread or baguette (to accompany)

INSTRUCTIONS :

Be sure to properly defrost and clean the shrimp before cooking. Garlic and butter will enhance its flavor.

Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with kitchen paper. If they are frozen, be sure to thaw them before using them.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the shrimp to the pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until pink and cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the pan and place them on a plate.

In the same pan, add the minced garlic cloves and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but be careful not to brown them too much as they could become bitter.

Optionally, pour the white wine into the pan and stir to deglaze, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Cook for 1-2 minutes so the alcohol evaporates.

Return the shrimp to the pan and stir to coat them with the butter and garlic. Cook for a few additional minutes until shrimp are heated through.

Squeeze the lemon juice over the shrimp and add salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine all the flavors.

If desired, sprinkle fresh chopped parsley over the shrimp for a touch of extra color and flavor.

Serve the garlic butter shrimp immediately, accompanied by French bread or baguette to dip in the delicious garlic butter sauce.

Spicy chili chicken wings

Ingredients:
- 1 kg chicken wings
- 4 tbsp chili powder, 1 tbsp garlic powder, 2 tbsp cumin, 2 tbsp oregano, 2 tsp salt, 2 tsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp honey, Sriracha/hot sauce

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Mix seasonings in a bowl.
2. Add wings and toss until evenly coated.
3. Arrange wings on a baking sheet lined with foil.
4. Roast in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
5. While the wings are roasting, heat the olive oil, honey, and Sriracha/hot sauce in a saucepan over medium heat until the honey and Sriracha are combined with the oil.
6. When the wings are done, brush them with the spicy honey glaze. Serve and enjoy!

1 1/2 cups of Lite brown sugar
1-8ounce package of cream cheese
1 cup of regular sugar
5 eggs
1 tablespoon of pure vanilla

Drunken Noodles(Pad Kee Mao)

Recipe:
* 2 to 3 Chinese broccoli(sliced)
* 1/2 onion(optional)
* 1/2 red bell pepper(optional)
* 1/2 lbs chicken thigh(shrimp/tofu is good too)
* 2 red chillies(sliced)
* 2 to 3 thai chillies(use less if you can’t handle spice)
* 6 cloves garlic(minced)
* 1 lbs fresh rice noodle sheet
* Neutral oil
* Salt to taste
* 1 handful Thai basil
Sauce
* 2 tbsp oyster sauce
* 1 tbsp light soy sauce
* 1 tbsp thick dark soy sauce
* 1 tbsp fish sauce
* 1.5 tbsp palm sugar(or brown sugar)
Instructions
1. Prepare and slice all vegetables and cut chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces. Make sure to separate the stems and leafy portion of the Chinese broccoli.
2. Use mortar and pestle to grind red chillies, thai chillies, and garlic into a paste.
3. Prepare rice noodles by slicing them into thick pieces and separating each sheet. If you use dried rice noodles, make sure to soak them in hot water for 10 minutes.
4. In a bowl combine all sauce ingredients.
5. Heat 3 tbsp of neutral oil in a hot wok until shimmering and cook chicken thigh. Season with a pinch of salt and sear for 5-6 minutes before setting aside.
6. Add more oil and sauté the chili garlic paste for a few seconds before adding the vegetables and the Chinese broccoli stems. Sauté for a few minutes then add back the chicken.
7. Add rice noodles, sauce and thoroughly combine for a couple of minutes.
8. At the very end toss in the leafy portion of Chinese broccoli and Thai basil. Sauté until the leaves have wilted and serve.

CHINESE ORANGE CHICKEN RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

Chicken:
4 Boneless Skinless Chicken thigh, size pieces
3 Eggs whisked
⅓ cup Cornstarch
⅓ cup Flour
Salt
Oil for frying

Orange Chicken Sauce:
1 cup Orange Juice
½ cup Sugar
2 Tablespoons Rice Vinegar or White Vinegar
2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce use tamari for a gluten-free dish
¼ teaspoon Ginger
¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder or 2 garlic cloves, finely diced
½ teaspoon Red Chili Flakes
Orange Zest from 1 orange
1 Tablespoon Cornstarch

Garnish:
Green Onions
Orange Zest

INSTRUCTIONS

To make orange sauce:
In a medium pot, add orange juice, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and red chili flakes. Heat for 3 minutes.
In a small bowl, whisk 1 Tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 Tablespoons of water to form a paste. Add to orange sauce and whisk together. Continue to cook for 5 minutes, until the mixture begins to thicken. Once the sauce is thickened, remove from heat and add orange zest.

To make chicken:
Place flour and cornstarch in a shallow dish or pie plate. Add a generous pinch of salt. Stir.
Whisk eggs in shallow dish.
Dip chicken pieces in egg mixture and then flour mixture. Place on plate.
Heat 2 -3 inches of oil in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat. Using a thermometer, watch for it to reach 350 degrees.
Working in batches, cook several chicken pieces at a time. Cook for 5-6 minutes, turning often until golden brown. Place chicken on a paper-towel-lined plate. Repeat.
Toss chicken with orange sauce. You may reserve some of the sauce to place on rice. Serve it with a sprinkling of green onion and orange zest, if so desired.
