Wrapped up in LA just in time to come home and deal with the oppressive heat wave! Cut 3 cameras for Vital Show Solutions, had a scope that didn't want to cooperate so I downloaded Scopebox, pretty powerful Scope! Used my AVMatrix UC2018 to get signal into my Mac. Got a good break here before I wrap up the summer in Seattle!

Had a good but LONG week in Nashville with Vital Show Solutions, only ended up with one night to get out of the ballroom to head downtown! This city has changed so much since the last time I was there (some 10+ years ago). For the event I ran Millumin and helped out with engineering this massive setup. Always a good time working with the team from Vital... on to LA!

Got back on the LED horse last week in Chicago with Vital Show Solutions... to be honest, I've been avoiding LED calls, but a last-minute change kind of forced my hand. Took me a minute to get my bearings with programming, but it ended up coming together rather nicely. After LED was all set up, I jumped into playback with Millumin. Had a wild travel day home, so I ended up with some time to walk around the city - highly recommend Yolk. for breakfast! Looking forward - Nashville, LA, Seattle...then some much needed time home!

Spent a week in Cleveland catching up with some old team members from IMS Technology Services and running Barco Image Processing Eventmaster with an E2. Stayed at the Hyatt Cleveland @ the Arcade which had one of the coolest lobbies I've ever been in and got a chance to eat some really good tacos and hot dogs...next up Chicago!

A little behind on updating... spent a week with Advanced Staging Productions supporting the University of Penn in an engineering role. Patching and shading 7 cameras, running records and pushing lower thirds. Thankfully I wasn't on the field for this one, got to hold up in an air conditioned trailer for the duration!

Wrapped up my 2 week residency with Vital Show Solutions in Houston. Got to play with the new Christie Digital 4K 25000 lumen projectors, and wow they do not disappoint! Also ran Millumin for Playback and banners for the two LED towers. Home for a few local shows and some much needed time with the family!

It was a long but good week in Orlando with Vital Show Solutions! Had to shake a little rust off for this one, (2) 10' x 30' blends with converged backups plus (1) 10' x 18' converged center screen. A total of (10) Christie Digital M- Series 14k's, what seemed like miles of cable and a couple hours of dark time for convergence and we were ready to go! Ran Millumin for Playback during show.

Quick couple days with Ben! I've been a part of this event for what seems like forever and transforming Franklin Hall at the Franklin Institute with IMS Technology Services gets better every year! EIC on this one with 5 cameras. Good times working with some of my favorite video guys Arias Socorro, Matthew Goswick and Stoney Gingrich, a producer that basically molded my perfectionist mentality on site Paul Rokuskie, and one of the top audio guys I get to work with Aram Piligian!

Spent a week in Washington DC with Advanced Staging Productions running Millumin and got to converge some Christie Digital Systems M-Series 14ks! Cool looking set on this one, had to get creative with getting the projectors in place because of the low soffit backstage.

Can't believe we are almost into May... April has been a bit of a blur.. gonna catch up on some missed posts starting with the beginning of April locally with two events with Advanced Staging Productions. First one was a quick 3 days with 6 Technologies Totem Led panels for a lobby feature. The second event was at the National Constitution Center running Barco Image Processing Eventmaster with an S3!

Some good times in New Orleans with Advanced Staging Productions. Running playback with Millumin, and projection with the Christie Digital M-Series 14ks. Intro videos and speaker walk ons totalled 32 videos... and there's also the food, New Orleans does not disappoint in that department!

It was a good week in Dallas with Advanced Staging Productions running Millumin and KiPros. Pushed 8 discreet outputs out of 2 Blackmagic Design Decklink cards from 2 Mac Studio Pro's. Each screen had its own video, and the end result looked great! Even had some time to get some BBQ, now it's home for a few and then it's back to Orlando!

Breakout Supervisor down in Orlando with IMS Technology Services! Ran an extremely efficient crew to manage just over 30 breakout rooms and a few "Mini-GS" rooms. Home for a week to spend time with this little lady and the rest of the family, then it's off to Dallas!

Spent a week in Miami with Advanced Staging Productions as Lead Video Engineer running a Blackmagic Design ATEM...didn't get a chance to take any photos but as usual a great week with a great crew. Home for a day and back down to Gaithersburg, MD with the Barco Image Processing S3 and Playback Pro. Next up Orlando...

Spent a week in Maryland for Advanced Staging Productions running Barco Image Processing Eventmaster with the E2 for an awards gala. This one was a bit of a challenge - 20 inputs, 5 destinations, all 16 layers, 60+ presets (even had to deploy my Streamdeck as a side car) all for a little over an hour of show! No rest though...wheels up to Miami!

Quick week in DC with Vital Show Solutions , running the Hanabi switcher. This switcher packs a pretty good punch on its own, but to really take advantage, you need to open up the GUI. Finally, I got my hands on the Christie Digital M 4K25's, and well, they certainly do not disappoint!

San Diego weather was definitely much nicer than home...4 days with Advanced Staging Productions was just enough though wrapping up a 13-day run. E2, Playback, and projectionist on this quick setup. Back to the East Coast to wrap up the year!
