Population: 6,683
Essex has several claims to fame. Firstly, it is one of only a handful of towns in the US that was attacked by a foreign country. In the War of 1812, England invaded the town and took control. Second, it has one of the oldest inns, The Griswold Inn, and an operating steam train.

Ready for a virtual vacation? As identified by Insider.com, Crested Butte is the top small town in the state of Colorado.

Population: 1,681

Crested Butte, situated in the Rocky Mountains, is known for its flowers. In fact, the town is dubbed the "Wildflower Capital of Colorado." One of the town's most popular seasons is July, when it hosts the Wildflower Festival, which includes hikes, garden tours, and classes. The warmer months also offer 750 miles of biking trails and camping in the Gunnison National Forest. In the winter, Crested Butte becomes a popular skiing destination.

Los Alamos was founded in 1876, and you still feel that Old West vibe while walking down its streets. While everything looks and feels vintage, Los Alamos has a lively culture, including food, wine, antiques, and arts. At the Los Alamos Third Saturday Stroll in September, the town combines its culture and history by celebrating with a BBQ, car show, and parade. But perhaps the most memorable part of Los Alamos is Union Hotel, which was built in 1880.

Glasgow School Superintendent Wade Sundby joined Stan and Haylie on LUBS 3/17. Wade talked about a 4-day school week, the financial condition of the school district along with the possibility the district could receive nearly $1 million in federal COVID money.

Today on Live Under the Big Sky: Stan and Haylie talked with Montana Governor Greg Gianforte about the Keystone Pipeline, COVID Vaccines and Andrew McKean's non-confirmation to the Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission.
Another guest on the program was Chisholm Christensen of Hinsdale who is a aspiring songwriter and musical performer. Three songs from Chisholm's first album are played during the program and Chisholm talks about his path to this first album.
