With Delaware State's men's basketball team sitting at 5-6 after a Tuesday night win over Gwynned-Mercy (105-58), Thursday night's game at home against Virginia-Lynchburg could put them at .500 on the season in early December.

Biggest HBCU football weekend of the season coming up.
In fact, it's so big, we can't wait for the weekend!!
We'll start Thursday with South Carolina State (3-4/1-0 MEAC) at North Carolina Central (6-1/1-0 MEAC). Ernest Robinson and Bill Hamilton on the call at 7:30 p.m. It's on hsrn.com and Sirius/XM.
At noon Saturday, Howard (3-4/1-0 MEAC) visits Delaware State (1-6/0-1). Gary Laing and Mike Walker have the action.
Lincoln (4-4/3-3 CIAA) tees it up at Virginia State (7-1/5-1 CIAA) at 2 p.m. Saturday. Listen in for John Emmett and Will Harris' play-by-play.
We have MEAC action at 2 p.m. with Morgan State (1-5/0-1) at Norfolk State (2-5/0-1)...with Lamont Germany and Renard Stubbs. This one is also on hsrn.com and Sirius/XM.
More CIAA action at 2 p.m. -- Winston-Salem State (4-4/4-2) at Johnson C. Smith (5-3/4-2). Ken Winfrey on play-by-play.

Unfortunately we won't be bringing you as many games on HSRN as we had originally slated for Saturday.
Due to the unfortunate shooting incident on the Morgan State campus Tuesday evening, the game versus Stony Brook has been postponed, along with other Homecoming activities.
But we do have Delaware State at Central Connecticut State at 1pm Saturday.
Also at 1pm, we have Livingstone at Winston-Salem State.
Virginia State takes on Bowie State at 2pm.
And Virginia-Lynchburg has a 2pm kickoff at South Carolina State.

Our first game Saturday doesn't kick off until 3:30pm.

But we won't make you wait that long for some HBCU action. We'll hit it on Thursday night with Arkansas-Pine Bluff (1-2/0-0) at Alabama A&M (1-2/0-1). That one starts at 7:30 Thursday night.

Then Saturday, we roll at 3:30pm with Delaware State (0-3) at Miami-Ohio (0-0).

We get it going with conference play in the CIAA at 1pm - Virginia State (1-0) at St. Augustine's (0-1).

Non-conference action (MEAC/CAA) at 3:30pm when Delaware State (0-2) visits Richmond (0-2).

More in the CIAA with Elizabeth City State (1-1, 1-0) at Winston-Salem State (0-1, 0-0) and a 6pm kickoff.

Another CAA/MEAC matchup kicks off at 6pm with the Battle for Baltimore - Towson (0-2) at Morgan State (1-1).

The regular football season comes to a close on Saturday, November 19 with a pair of games involving MEAC teams. Important games for a couple of the teams too.
We'll start it off at 12noon with Howard (4-6/3-1) at Morgan State (4-6/2-2). The Bison could grab a share of the top spot in the MEAC with a win over the Bears...but Morgan State has been known to pull off an upset or two this season.
At 2pm, a non-conference matchup ends the season for Delaware State (5-5/2-3) as Campbell (4-6/2-3) plays their last game as a member of the Big South. For the Hornets, a win over the Camels will give DSU their first winning season since 2012.

As basketball gets underway and the football season winds down, we have some important games for you this Saturday. Action from the MEAC and CIAA...
We'll start it off at 12:45pm with an important game in the MEAC with South Carolina State (3-6/1-2) at Howard (3-6/2-1). Join Earnest Robinson and Bill Hamilton for the action.
At 1:00pm we'll take you from DC to Salem, Virginia and the CIAA Championship game with Southern Division champion Fayetteville State (8-2/7-1) taking on Northern Division champ Chowan (7-3/7-1). Both teams had perfect 5-0 records within their divisions.
And at 2:00pm, as the old fast food jingle used to sing..."Have it your way". Morgan State (3-6/1-2) heads into Delaware State (5-4/2-2) for a MEAC contest. Have it your way...listen to the Bears play-by-play by Lamont Germany and Renard Stubbs, or the Hornets broadcast with Gary Laing and Mike Walker. Or switch from one to the other if you'd like. We'll start in the CIAA with Virginia Union (8-1/6-1) visiting Virginia State (5-3/5-2). That one gets underway at 12noon.
We have a pair of games starting at 1pm. Staying with the CIAA, it's Lincoln (2-6/1-5) at Bowie State (5-4/4-3).
And at 1pm, we go interconference. Morgan State (3-5/0-2 MEAC) at Stony Brook (1-7/1-5 CAA).
We'll head south for MEAC action at 1:30pm with Delaware State (4-4/1-2) visiting South Carolina State (3-5/1-1).
And we'll finish it up at 4pm with more from the CIAA when Winston-Salem State (3-5/3-3) hosts Fayetteville State (7-2/6-1).

This is a big weekend for HBCU football and HSRN is taking you right to the best action.
Lamont Germany and Renard Stubbs get it started at 12noon when South Carolina State (3-4/1-0 MEAC) looks for its second conference win at Morgan State (2-5/0-2). This is the Bears broadcast. You can also get the South Carolina State/Morgan State contest Bulldogs style from Ernest Robinson and Bill Hamilton.
Ken Winfrey picks it up at 1pm with Johnson C. Smith (2-5/2-4 CIAA) at Winston-Salem State (2-5/2-3 CIAA).
John Emmett also has CIAA action at 1pm with Virginia State (5-3/4-2) visiting Lincoln [PA] (2-5/1-4)
It's homecoming in Dover with a MEAC clash. North Carolina Central (5-2/1-1) looks to stay in the battle for the top spot in the conference against Delaware State (4-3/1-1). This one has Gary Laing and Leroy Thompson on the call.
And we'll finish off the day with the Magic City Classic! It's Alabama A&M (3-4/3-1 SWAC East) against Alabama State (4-3/2-2 SWAC East). Forget the records...this one is truly a classic. And we have Mark Gray and Ted Dixon on the call from Birmingham.
