I think this is my favorite photo from my branding shoot with Amanda Renee Photography.co back in October.

I feel like it just looks like me.

Messy hair, happy to be near the water at No Thyme to Cook and enjoying my favorite flowers (Dinner Plate Dahlias) from Zekiah Ridge Farm & Flowers.

Plus, I felt like a million bucks in the jewelry that Maertens Jewelry let me borrow for my photos! I've never been much of a jewelry person, but now I get it...quality jewelry is transformative!

I also had the opportunity to take photos at that day...what a backdrop!

So thank you Amanda, Gwyn, Cindy, Heather, Bonnie and Marci for all of your support that humid day back in October. I am incredibly appreciative!

Is anybody else really animated when they speak in front of people?! Lol! This photo makes me cringe and laugh at the same time. But because the photo made me laugh, I decided to post it (after two weeks of contemplation). It's far from my best photo, but I'm not worried about being perfect, and I'm not worried about what other people think of me. (Trust me, it's taken almost 50 years to get to this point.)

I really didn't want to speak at the Women to Women of Calvert monthly meeting that Wednesday...I always doubt that I'll have anything interesting to contribute in a speaker-role. (Anybody else ever experience ?) But after sending an email to back out, Dana at Patuxent Printing LLC gave me a pep talk, told me to put my big girl panties on and do the thing. I'm so glad I listened to her!

Hopefully, I was able to share some wisdom with the women in attendance. Here were my three tips from my presentation.

#1 Don't neglect your Google My Business page
#2 Use OneUp to schedule on Google My Business to keep your profile fresh (Google likes that)
#3 At the very least, post on your social media once a week. (It's one of my business New Year's resolutions too)

We always seem to get so wrapped up in the day to day of running our business that we run out of time to do the simple things, like doing a quick social post for our business. I am constantly inspired by my clients when posting on their social media, but when I have to create content for myself, I'm usually stumped. (Can anyone else relate?)

Anyhow, my advice to you for 2023 is to just show up, give it your best (even when you don't want to) because that's usually when the best things happen!

Hello all my social media friends! I wanted to take the time to reach out and say thank you for all the support this year. Those of you who know me, know that I have been working very hard all year to establish myself as a microblading artist. This has been such a journey. I thoroughly enjoy providing this service, the results have been so rewarding for myself and my clients. I love being able to make people feel better about themselves.

Friday was an on-the-road day! Three events and an in-person client meeting...I was pooped! But it doesn't matter how tired I am because I GET to go to these events, network with amazing people, work for myself, work from home and make my own schedule. Plus, I get to feed my soul with the companionship of amazing, strong and fierce women! I am a lucky girl.
