MAY 15, 1997 "ZZ TOP DAY"!!

ZZ Top is one of the most popular and beloved bands in Texas, in fact, it's said that there isn't a jukebox in the entire place that doesn't have ZZ Top songs on it. The charm of the little old band from Texas ("little ol' band from Texas", as it is affectionately called, captivated everyone, including great musicians of recognized trajectory. ZZ Top is also one of the most representative bands of Texas, released forward the good image of the state, in the name of rock n roll, which is why they won several awards, for example, they were named "Goodwill Ambassadors of the State of Texas" (in 1983 and 1991), and "Official Heroes of Texas" (in 1986). The achievements of the hardrock blues trio went further when on May 15, 1997, the then governor of Texas, George W. Bush, decided to pay tribute to the group by declaring that date as "ZZ Day Top".
