Last week, I was fortunate enough to speak with the Centaurus High School WISE (Women In Science and Engineering) club about the field of audio engineering.

It’s a field that’s rarely thought of when it comes to engineering in the more traditional forms. As the kin of many, many engineers (civil & electrical), it’s exciting for me to have found an engineering field that speaks to me on a such a humanly creative level, while satisfying my engineer-inclined brain to make my clients’ music sound its absolute best. It was so fun to illuminate this field for these young women at Centaurus! Getting more women excited and inspired to pursue STEM careers is part of the mission at Ally Sound.

Anna Frick, who is a master audio engineer and does all the sound engineering for the GRAMMYs, came and spoke to our Women in Science and Engineering Club about the art and science of sound engineering.

We’re so proud of these ones! We want to give a thank you to everyone who worked on these with us. for laying down bass, engineering and mixing. in CO for their beautiful space. for recording the basic for money and time and helping to arrange the beautiful background vocals that I’m obsessed with. for so expertly mastering both tracks.

Most importantly for his amazing percussion and being able to consistently play an egg shaker for 4 minutes straight without blinking. And for jumping in and creating some killer guitar lines on Money & Time.

I have been **soo patiently** waiting for this album to be released. It literally brought me to tears while working on it… especially the title track. Like stop-working-sit-on-the-floor-of-the-studio crying. It’s beautiful, , simply. Congrats, friend. I am forever in awe of you, and have been since the day we met, and it is such a great honor to have been a part of this art. Thank you. 🙏

This or That?! Had the pleasure of speaking (listening) on a panel comparing the OG Fairchild with several clones (Herchild and Unfairchild) as well as dbx 160s vs 260s. The results were all over the map, but damn, that OG sounded lovely on some things. 😍
