Homework has been a real struggle after sitting at school for hours... We have been working with an amazing OT online who gives us support and activities to help with having a smooth day... This activity has been one the kids really enjoy. They build the obstacle course after school before homework time... This has been a great activity for regulating them after sitting for so long to being them back into focus again... The benefits of this also include balance and gross motor skills! Sometimes, we search everywhere except directly at the potential root of why we're missing the peace we deeply crave. Initially, we blame ourselves. We think we're not doing enough, or we're overlooking something crucial. Then, we consider it a lesson, thinking perhaps this is why we've encountered challenging situations or difficult people - it's meant to teach us something. We then move into a mode of trying to fix everything around us. Yet, even after all these efforts, a sense of peace remains elusive. This was a tough lesson I learned personally. Being part of a business I couldn't imagine leaving made me overlook clear signs and warnings that it wasn't my true calling. After years of struggling and attempting every possible solution to "make it work," I came to understand that the issue wasn't me, my methods, or any shortcomings on my part. The real issue was that I was in a place where I would never find peace because it wasn't where I was meant to be. I'm sharing this in hopes it reaches someone who needs to hear it. I’m sure we're all guilty of a little scroll hole activity, but on this scroll hole, I had an opportunity jump out at me that allows you to turn that scroll into an online business. I'll be honest, starting an online business was never on the list of things to do.. when you’ve got the degree or the career you tend to feel like that's where you were placed, so that's where you're supposed to be. This really hit me hard... My motherhood has been evolving with every child... I'm doing my best to be the best mom I can... I hope they know that... I hope that my oldest acknowledges my growth since being a teen mom and knows how much I love her... I hope that my middle girls only remember the good times... I hope that my youngest only ever knows this side of motherhood from me... And I hope it makes all of them better moms one day... Motherhood is both the toughest and the most amazing experience of my life... I pray for the Lord to work in my life to be the mom he wants me to be as I strengthen my relationship with him to bring them closer to Him...
