SANJY 2022: DC Anantnag visits Sheeshnag, reviews arrangements

Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla accompanied by senior officials from District Administration today visited Sheeshnag base camp. The visit was aimed at reviewing ground level preparations for SANJY 2022.
Speaking during the visit, the Dr Singla said that various development works are under progress on the track. He said that installation of railings on sides, widening of the track, removal of loose stones, crate bunds etc are going on at full pace. He visited the base hospital established at Sheeshnag and also reviewed the allocation of space to various departments. A meeting with accompanying officials was held at Sheeshnag base camp directing them to expedite the ongoing works and ensure all preparations are in place by 15th of June.
Dr Singla inspected the er****on of several Medical Aid Centres enroute from Chandanwari to Holy Cave. He also reviewed the installation of taps at various spots along the route. The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the installation of toilet facilities at Sheeshnag camp. Emphasizing on ensuring availability of necessary medical care, the CMO was directed to put equines into service as ambulances so that emergency medical care can be given to any in need on the route without delay. He was informed that both electricity and water supply are available at Sheeshnag base camp.
Stressing on ensuring a clean and green SANJY 2022, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officials to ensure that proper solid and liquid waste measures are in place at the base camp and dust bins are installed at various spots to avoid littering.
Directions were issued to Pahalgam Development Authority to ensure that lights are installed at every 100 metres on the path between Chandanwari and Sheeshnag base camps to ensure that Yatries can travel safely in early and late hours.
SSP Anantnag, CEO PDA, SDM Pahalgam, CMO, SEs of R&B, KPDCL and Jal Shakti, SDM Pahalgam, ACD, representatives from NDMA, representatives from CRPF, Tehsildar Pahalgam among others accompanied the DC.

जम्मू में डोडा ज़िले के भद्रवाह कस्बे में कुछ विवादित सोशल मीडिया पोस्ट के बाद कर्फ़्यू लगा दिया गया है.

डोडा के डिप्टी कमिश्नर विकास शर्मा ने इसकी पुष्टि की है. उन्होंने कहा, ''इलाक़े में तनाव के बाद भद्रवाह शहर में कर्फ़्यू लगा दिया गया है.”
सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म पर भड़काऊ भाषणों के वीडियो प्रसारित होने के बाद इलाक़े में तनाव पैदा हुआ है.

स्थानीय प्रशासन ने फ्लैगमार्च के लिए सेना को भी बुलाया है.

ADGP Jammu one convened a high level meeting to reviewed Police arrangements being made on the eve of Sh. Amar Nath ji Yatra-2022

Jammu 7th June, 2022:- Shri Mukesh Singh-IPS, ADGP Jammu Zone convened a high level meeting with the officers of Army/CAPF/Intelligence agencies/Civil Administration/Police/Traffic/Security wing to review the Police/security arrangements in the run up to Sh. Amarnath Ji Yatra-2022 at District Police Line Jammu this afternoon.
At the outset of the meeting, a Power Point Presentation was given by SSP Police Control Room, Jammu and Commandants of 38, 160 & 166 Bn CRPF with regard to the arrangements being made by them at Base Camp BhagwatiNagar, Base camp Chanderkote and Lamber, Banihal and en-route from Jammu to Navyug Tunnel. During the presentation, some issues were raised by the Commandants concerned and on spot directions were given to the SSsP to look into their problems and address them shortly.
A detailed briefing was also given by the intelligence agencies i.e. Spl Bureau, IB and CID in view of the present security scenario and possible threats to the Shri Amar Nath Yatra this year.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu and DC Jammu also raised certain issues pertaining to the Amarnath Yatra and also assured to resolve all the pending issues pertaining to security arrangements In the next ten days.
Mr. Singh also advised the participants to ensure that a proper co-ordination be maintained among all the intelligence agencies, Army, PMF, Traffic and Security wing in their respective districts/area of responsibility for smooth and incident free Yatra. He also requested Divisional Commissioner, Jammu to take immediate action on certain issues raised by CRPF Commandants so that no inconvenience is caused to troops being deployed for the purpose.

फ़ारूक़ अब्दुल्लाह ने कहा- कश्मीरी पंडितों को साज़िश के तहत भगाया गया
जम्मू-कश्मीर के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री और नेशनल कॉन्फ़्रेंस के नेता फ़ारूक़ अब्दुल्लाह ने कहा है कि 1990 में कश्मीरी पंडितों के साथ जो हुआ, वो एक साज़िश थी. न्यूज़ चैनल आज तक के साथ बातचीत में फ़ारूक़ अब्दुल्लाह ने कहा कि कश्मीरी पंडितों को साज़िश के तहत भगाया गया था.

*11 KG OF POPPY STRAW RECOVERED, 02 INTERSTATE NARCOTIC SMUGGLERS APPREHENDED*

Continuing its war against the menace of drugs, Udhampur Police today recovered contraband *poppy straw* from a Punjab based truck at Jakhani naka, NHW Udhampur.

Police party from Police Station Udhampur at MVCP in Jakhani Chowk, recovered 11 kg of poppy straw packed in a plastic bag from a Truck bearing registration No.PB02EA 7027.

On questioning, the driver of the truck dislcosed his identity as *Devander Singh S/O Prem Singh R/O Amritsar, Punjab and his associate Sahib Singh S/O Bakshi Singh R/O Amritsar, Punjab* who were arrested on spot.

In this regard, a Case FIR No. 34/2022 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered in PS Udhampur and further investigation is underway.

The naka party was headed by SHO PS Udhampur Insp. Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of Addl. SP Udhampur Sh. Anwaar Ul Haq and DySP Hqrs Udhampur Sh. Sahil Mahajan.
