Do I sound like a broken record player yet??⁠

It doesn't matter if you are a business, brand, coach, or influencer.⁠
If you want your content (and name) in front of more people organically, you have to be posting to your stories on a regular basis. I try (and try and try) to tell people to post on their stories 2-3 times a day.⁠

Once my clients get the hand of posting 2-3 times a day, I suggest posting 2-4 slides, EACH time they post on their stories!⁠

I myself do not post every day, 3 times a day, but I make the effort to be more active on my stories than not. ⁠

How often are you posting on your stories? Are they in line with your voice and brand? If I watch them all at once do they flow together? Do they make sense?

There were about 30 people bumped to the October IG Challenge or placed on the waitlist for September, and as much as I LOVE that I really wish I had more room!!⁠

Instagram NEWS: Reels is launching today in 50 countries!

The rival to TikTok has been long awaited and is now available to most users to access. It is in roll out so be patient - force updates on your Instagram app if you need to.

Yes, it's in-app (unlike IGTV) and can be accessed from the Instagram camera (choose Story or Reel). Once in the Reels camera, there are a variety of editing tools and features to create your content.

If you have a public account, you can choose to have your Reel show up in the Explore page. There will be a dedicated section of the Explore page just for Reels! (My guess is this is an attempt to compete with the easy discoverability of TikTok videos compared to Instagram explore/search) And if your Reel gets featured in Explore, you'll receive a notification.

Your Reel can also be posted to your feed for your followers to see. After you've recorded your Reel, you can save a draft of your reel, change the cover image, add a caption and hashtags, and tag your friends before sharing it.

Things get a little confusing here... "After you share your reel, it will live on a separate Reels tab on your profile, where people can find the reels you’ve shared. If you also share to your Feed, your reel will appear on your main profile grid, though you have the option to remove it."

You'll recognize Reels in the feed with the icon in the image of this post that appears in the lower left corner of the video in the feed.

So if you don't share to your feed, it only goes to the Reels tab and the Explore page if you chose that. It's still on your profile, just not in the feed. But you can share it to the feed as well and have it appear there... Depending on your audience and the content strategy you have, you're going to want to spend some time figuring out why/where you want this content.

OR... "Whether you have a public or private account, you can share your reel to your Story, close friends, or in a direct message. If you do so, your reel will behave like a regular Story — it will not be shared to Reels in Explore, it will not appear on your profile, and it will disappear after 24 hours."

So, if you share it to a Story, you can't share it to a feed post? My guess is if you download it to your device, you could come back and add it to the other area if you wanted to.

Mojo is the orange/pink one which I use to spice up my stories EAST with their templates. Mojo App - Create video stories

Wave.Video is another easy peasy video editor I use to spice up posts, stories, and advertisements!⁠ Wave.video

Later is GREAT for scheduling your content because you can save captions (hashtags!!) and preview what your feed will look like. The paid version allows you insights to your stats AND you can schedule stories. Later

Phlanx is what I use to track my engagement. Every 'calculator' does it differently so many sure when you pick one, you stick to it! Phlanx Global

🔳How do I do it? Simple! Check out people that have tagged your brand, or a brand similar to yours. Or head to 'accounts following' and begin engaging with Least Interacted With.⁠

🔳When do I do it? 10 Minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening goes a LONG way. Have time to do it right after you post? Perfect!⁠

🔳Why do I do it? Because Instagram wants to see you active, and because your customers want to see you active too! Show everyone you care!

Do you want to be followed, then unfollowed? No...⁠

Does Instagram want to see you follow and then unfollow? No...⁠

That being said, it is OK to unfollow a couple of accounts every day if they really don't jive with the accounts you want to follow. BUT do not go unfollowing 50 people in one sitting, you have been warned!!

Leave it open-ended or with a question you want to ask your readers!

Hashtags? I always suggest just keeping them IN the caption (instead of the first comment) and you can separate them with a bunch of ". . . . " Try it out! *reminder that on Facebook I do not use any hashtags but if you do, max out on 5!*

Quick Tips to take with you right now⬇️⬇️

➡️Post on your story twice a day (short & sweet! 3 slides each time!)

➡️Post multiple frames at a time (like I said, shoot for 3! No more than 5!!)
