The 6th Annual MogulCon convened Friday, November 5th, and concluded on Saturday, November 6th at The Whitley, A Luxurious Collection Hotel. While Buckhead is known for fine dining and extravagant events, this venue could not hold the capacity of this level of .

The founder of Mogulcon, believes in equipping the everyday woman with resources to sustain successful businesses. So naturally, she does everything in excellence.

“The reason for this conference is for women to build a solid infrastructure in their businesses that will create lasting results. I believe if you’re not creating jobs, then you are not moving the needle, “ Dr. Phillips mentioned.

During the two-day conference, many dynamic speakers graced the stage including Associate Editor of ESSENCE Magazine, , Author, and CEO of Williamson Media Group, , and CEO of Character Consultants, ; just to name a few.

Gems concerning wealth, establishing business credit, owning your confidence, and making sales sexy were a few topics discussed by an established array of moguls.

D’Shonda, the 25-year-old journalist, discussed her story of evolution as one of the youngest influencers in the industry. “The thing that I am the proudest of is that I keep going higher and higher. I’m a perfectionist, It’s my flaw, but I know I am tapping into something and I am still going. I haven’t hit that break yet.”

As attendees and VIPs arrived, they were surrounded by decorous white chic curtains, a three-course meal that consisted of a fresh salad, grit cake, chicken married with salmon and savory asparagus, and a decadent light fruit tart.

An amazing band sung the crowd’s favorite hits and Dr. Phillips had a dynamic interview with .

Well deserved recipients of the awards included , the VP of Community Relations at WELLS FARGO, , Owner of Spatique and founder of The Roberts Family Vineyard, and DeShawn Bullard, the CEO of which are currently selling in stores across the globe. These women are true moguls who are moving the needle in their communities.

On Sunday, August 10th, the “Who’s Who” of Atlanta gathered at the Tommy Ford Legacy-A-Thon & Awards to celebrate the living legacy of the late Tommy Ford from the hit TV show Martin. The red-carpet affair convened at the Buckhead Art & Company Exhibition from 6-9 PM.

Celebrity guests included Gary With Da Tea from The Rickey Smiley Morning Show. He co-hosted with the natural-born deal closer Ebony Porter-Ike. Other guests included Ford’s surviving partner, Viviane Brazil, who recounted her most precious memories of six years with the late star.

“Tommy made me feel so loved. Tommy was someone who truly loved his family and he believed that being a part of His father’s business encouraged people to do the same… that was Tommy’s job,” Brazil stated.

Lundon Knighten, Ford’s surviving family member, adorned the audience with Sam Cooke’s classic, “A Change is Gonna Come".

"This song is the most real thing still today. In loving memory of my big cousin, as it is one of his favorite songs, it hits different,” Knighten stated.

Other celebs who joined in support of Ford’s legacy included Relationship expert and author Byron Jamal, personality Ego Maserati, Atlanta's House Representative Donna McLeod, Love is Blind Season 1 cast member, Diamond Jack, award-winning author and business strategist Dr. Sonja Stribling, and many more.

Dr. Angella Banks Publisher of Xcellence Community Magazine) organized this gala in honor of the late Tommy Ford to commemorate Ford’s final interview with her before his passing on October 12, 2016.

“When I found out that I was tasked and blessed with his final words that any individual would hear him say in an interview, I got instructions on what to do with this. I knew we needed to come back to Atlanta. This is where He resided," Dr. Banks exclaimed.

During this event, Dr. Banks shared exclusive clips of the interview as Ford discussed his childhood memories. To honor his legacy, awards were also presented to some of the industry's most cherished entertainers including R & B singer Tony Terry, Emmy Award-winning poet, Hank Stewart, and comedian and actor Rodney Perry.

The New Black Wall Street Market Is Emerging in Stonecrest, GA a Century After Attack

The Allen Entrepreneurial Institute (AEI) has announced the development of the New Black Wall Street Market! The market is set to officially open its doors in September 2021. There will be a series of events held leading up to the grand opening. The first event is this weekend, which included Saturday. However, today, from 10 AM -7 PM there will be a festival of fun, food, and entertainment in preparation to open the New Black Wall Street Market in the coming months!

This project development was inspired by the original Black Wall Street, located in Tulsa, OK, which was, unfortunately, a target of racial discrimination on May 31, 1921. The New Black Wall Street Market hosts a space that allows entrepreneurs to expand their businesses, especially minority executives. The purpose of the market is to cultivate relationships with business owners in the Atlanta area, provide entrepreneurial training to enhance skills, offer a community for small businesses, and assist with the transition of online stores to brick-and-mortar.

According to the Project Coordinator, Matthew Hampton, 118-130 spaces are available in the market. “Those spaces lend themselves to possibly help 300-400 entrepreneurs. It gives greater impact and greater opportunity.” Following the footsteps of the owner of Village Market in Ponce City Market, the AEI believes that the model they have envisioned will assist in the efficiency and success of the New Black Wall Street Market.

The Allen Entrepreneurial Institute is an entrepreneurial ecosystem that fosters the development of stronger entrepreneurs and sustainable businesses. Through their programs and initiatives, they can deliver content that inspires innovation, position businesses to grow significantly, and cultivate the next generation of entrepreneurs.

A mother’s love stands the test of time⁠
It’s never changing, never judging, it’s simply aligned.⁠
In the moments we do not understand why she made the choice she did⁠
We understood the older we got; she was doing it to defend.⁠
To keep us safe and fight off the world, mama bear does not play.⁠
She goes without so her children can eat, and still, she never complains.⁠
A mother’s love is unrelenting, unchanging, and everlasting.⁠
You only get one true love like this so hold close to its passion.⁠
So to the mom, the aunt, the person who felt most like a mom to me⁠
