Location: Hampton Inn Venice Beach

Rating: 🐶🐶🐶🐶

Review: This location gets 4 out of 5 licks (🐶). The hotel was amazing for privacy and squirrel/lizard hunting. The room was the perfect size flat! The couch was perfect height for jumping into for a nap. The space around the hotel was amazing for early morning lizard and squirrel chasing. Great for privacy but the cantina lacked snacks. Great location for fossil hunting. I would come back to Venice again.

Tonight a fundraiser was allowed to gain public attention with First Friday held in Manteo, NC. We honored Megan Riggs, an amazing young lady who has defied all odds and we’re working toward a scholarship to allow her to purse her dreams with higher education. She wants to purse an undergraduate education in forensic anthropology.

Many Manteo residents, business owners, and cherished visitors gathered to honor her family and their sacrifices.

Kevin Wallace and Marcello Ortega brainstormed this fundraiser for Megan 6 days ago and there has been nothing but support. The current amount raised is $1,927. The goal is $3,000 for this young lady. Thank you all for the support and foundation for her future.

We will be doing a fundraiser outside Ortega'z Southwestern Grill & Wine Bar on this upcoming First Friday to raise money for Megan Riggs. Megan's father, TSgt Joshua Riggs, passed away July 12, 2012, when Megan was very young and her brother Andrew was only a baby. Megan is now a senior in high school, and she, her mother and brother have all had a difficult 9 years, but all continue to do their very best.
