The many different types of salons, Know the differences

Booth Rental / Suite Rental Sola/ Phenix/ JC
The Owner Leases or owns commercial space and they collect a rent from all the stylists.
When a hair stylist rents out a station within a designated room or space, this is called a booth rental hair salon. This salon can be an open space with several booths, or closed off individually so each stylist has their own room. Each space is rented out per stylist to offer services. Stylists pay for their space either weekly or monthly, whatever is agreed upon and the stylist is responsible for all of their own supplies such as color, product, curling irons, scissors and other products they wish to use. Each space or station represents a different business, a different vision or structure.
It's similar to what you see at a farmers market or flea market. The each rent space and all independent business within the same area

The Owner of the entire space Leases or owns commercial space and they collect a rent from all the stylists. While they are often referred to as salon owners they are essentially a landlord the same as if you rent an apartment. In Booth rental Salons the Stylists leasing space or a chair are sometimes called employees when in fact they are not employees.
They are independent. It would be the same as if you rented an apartment you can come and go as you please, decorate it the way you want, play your own music. Cook dinner anyway you want, Have friends over at any time.

I will be doing a live model consult & color application. Everyone needs to be with me to listen to my consult. I will have each of you write down on a piece of paper which Wella line you would use & the formula. What are we doing about it?
Remember, with 5 different generations now mixed in the workplace, a blanket of benefits won’t cut it. These benefits don’t have to set you back financially, but they do need to be unique and attractive.

Create a Culture People Would Leave a High Paying Job for

Create a strong relationship with the schools. Support all the students in succeeding in school

Serve your employees like they are your customers. You work for them, they don't work for you

Break the mold of the past. The way things used to be. The snow conversation

Today is day 1 of the trial of the Hair stylist accused of murdering her co-worker hair stylist Joleen Cummings in 2018

A Florida Grand jury indicted 44-year-old Kimberly Kessler September 7. Her co-worker, Joleen Cummings, was 34 when she was reported missing on May 14. Cummings body has never been found and she is presumed dead. Cummings was last seen leaving her job at her hair salon, in Fernandina Beach, at 5 p.m. on May 12. She was supposed to meet up with her ex-husband in Hilliard about 45 minutes away the next day to pick up her kids, ages 3, 4 and 10, but she never showed up.

Her beige 2006 Ford Expedition was discovered May 15 in the parking lot of a Home Depot in Yulee, not far from the salon.

That same day, authorities said, they went to the salon to speak with Kessler but she didn’t show up to work from that point forward — and the address she had given to her boss was fake.

Investigators later discovered surveillance video from 1:17 a.m. on May 13 that allegedly showed Kessler parking Cummings’ SUV.

Kessler was found at a truck stop on May 16 and arrested on the grand theft auto charges.

Anne Johnson, Cummings’ mother, shared her grief with News4Jax, saying, “Joleen’s life was stolen from us, not by the hands of God, but by evil itself manifested in what I would call a monster.”

Johnson added, “What haunts me most is how scared Joleen must have been through this whole horrific ordeal and how hard Joleen must have fought for her life, as I know she was fighting for the life of her three children.
