Wagonhouse Winery: Family-Owned and Operated in the Heart of South Jersey is an amazing gem right in our backyards!

Dan and Heather Brown entered winemaking by leasing 3 1/2 acres on Dan's century-old family farm in Mickleton in 2004. Nearly two decades, dozens of wines, and three boys later, they still have the same energy and creativity at what is now Wagonhouse Winery, a vineyard and winery at 1401 State Highway 45 in South Harrison Township.

"Wagonhouse Winery has more than 30 different wines — enough to satisfy any palate, and the Brown family is so sweet and humble," said a grateful customer. "It's a great place to have a bunch of cheeses and some crackers and go through a few bottles on a weekend afternoon."

Tornados aren't common in South Jersey, however, when they do happen, they leave a trail of destruction unlike any other. On September 1, 2021, an EF3 tornado ripped through Mullica Hill, destroying homes, businesses, and our local ecosystem. During all of the destruction and craziness, Mullica Hill showed that humanity and compassion always wins, and our community has rebounded like never before. The Harrison Township Historical Society has set up an exhibit in the Old Town Hall, explaining the destruction of the Tornado and the efforts surrounding it to help rebuild the destroyed parts of our town. The exhibit runs from October 1st through December 3rd.

Learn more about the history of Mullica Hill on 90 minute guided tours, departing from Blueplate, beginning at 6 PM and ending at midnight. Tickets are 10 dollars per person and all proceeds will go to the Harrison Township Historical Society!

Today, we remember the terrible tragedy that took the lives of 2,977 Americans. On September 11th 2001, two planes hit the North and South towers of the World Trade Center, resulting in the collapse of both towers. Mullica Hill Neighbors sends our condolences to all victims and families affected by the tragedy, and commends all of the police, firemen and bystanders who assisted in saving thousands of souls that day.
