Welcome to 2024! Let's make it a great one!
Starting Monday afternoon, Nov. 20 through Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023,
Santa's Mailbox returns for the season outside the front entrance to Holly Springs Town Hall at 128 S. Main St. It’s a gift to the children by John Dalpe and ASI, North Carolina.
Does your child have a special Christmas wish that they’re hoping reaches Santa in time? Kids can write to Santa and get a response by Christmas Eve if they include their name and address.
After children drop off letters for Santa, Holly Springs Run Club volunteers and Endurance Fence Solutions, LLC staff sprint the letters to the North Pole so that Santa can answer them before Christmas.
Santa's Note: Children who want to hear back from Santa by Christmas Eve must include their name and home address.
Merry Christmas!!! 🎄
A very special Thank You goes out to Back Porch Orchestra for letting All Things Holly Springs video their great entertainment at Saturday's Apex Peak Fest! What a perfect day for vendors and community support teams throughout the area! Share and like this to support them. 😎🌞🎵
Take a listen to some of the great entertainment at the Apex Peak Fest today. Visitors got to sit back, listen and eat the great foods from food vendors. Perfect day! (We apologize for the singer's voice not coming through as it should. We were on the other side of the speakers so his voice is hard to hear. Our bad).
Missed that memo...again.
A special Shout Out to the team at A&M Massage and Bodywork for making the Finalists cut and Honorable Mention at the WRAL Voter's Choice Awards recently. We are big fans and so glad you chose Holly Springs to grow your business. A nice start to your New Year!
If a person is angry or depressed, eating will not solve these situations and may make the underlying problems worse.
Avoid eating a large meal before sleeping to decrease gastroesophageal reflux and weight gain.
Avoid sodas and sugar-enhanced drinks because of the excessive calories in the sodas and sugar drinks; diet drinks may not be a good choice as they make some people hungrier and increase food consumption.
From all of us at All Things Holly Springs... may your home be filled with warmth and love this holiday season and all year through.
Love Boston Cream Pie, but don't want to bake? Visit your favorite bakery and get a slice of this delicious pie. What bakery in Holly Springs makes the go-to Boston Cream Pie to die for?
This day is not about the neighbor that lives down the street or the crazy co-worker. It's a food holiday celebrating a healthy and nutritious snack. One study has shown that people who ate nuts lived two or three years longer than those who did not. Nuts are healthiest in their raw forms. Have a snack consisting of raw nuts during the day!
Pumpkin Cheesecake Day ushers in the flavors of fall. Cheesecake is one of America's favorite desserts and by simply adding pumpkin, we celebrate the essential flavoring of the season.
Youth Confidence Day! Building a network of positive role models is vitally important to developing responsible, confident young adults. Observe this day by sharing stories about youth who inspire you, and show off your most confident youth, be confidently creative. Show a young person in your life you care. Provide them with the tools needed to reach their potential.
Control portion sizes; eat the smallest portion that can satisfy hunger and then stop eating.
The bulk of food consumption should consist of healthy foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat milk products.
Eat three healthy meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner); it is important to remember that dinner does not have to be the largest meal.
Balance your diet with a variety of different food groups to ensure that you get all of the proper nutrition you need.
