Dear Boston Community,

It is an honor to address you all as I announce my candidacy for public office. As a lifelong activist, I have been devoted to serving and advocating for those in need. I have witnessed firsthand the issues facing our community, and I recognize the need for change.

My platform is centered around strengthening our community through equality, justice, and transparency. I believe that every individual deserves to thrive and reach their full potential, regardless of their background or circumstances. My goal is to create a community that prioritizes the welfare of every member, from the poorest and most marginalized to the most affluent.

I am dedicated to working with you all to provide access to crucial resources, promote social justice, and protect the rights of every citizen. I will fight for affordable housing, improved healthcare, quality education, sustainable economic opportunities, and much more.

I am committed to transparency, accountability, and integrity, and I will make sure that every decision made in public office is made with the best interests of our community in mind.

Boston, I am here to serve you, to fight for you, and to make sure our city is a place where everyone can thrive. Together we can make a positive impact on our community and continue to create a brighter future for generations to come.

THE PEOPLE'S CANDIDATE

Clifton A Braithwaite has proven to be one of the most persistent community activists in Boston, Massachusetts. He brings with him a plethora of life and professional experience. There is clear evidence that he is dedicated to the upliftment of Boston families through the work he’s done with Community-Based Organizations such as the Roxbury YMCA, The Boys and Girls Clubs of America and he also had the honor of mentoring young athletes playing for Pop Warner Football. Clifton served in the Boston Branch of the NAACP for years, was heavily involved with the Urban League of Boston, and knows the needs of Boston residents.

Clifton has endorsed and worked for many elected officials helping them to become successful by sharing his lived experience bridging the gap between people and politics. Prior to politics, Clifton worked in the music industry which provided him with the resources and tools to guide young artists in a positive direction while giving them a platform to have their creative voices heard.
Clifton is in a place in his life now where he desires to take on more. He is running for Boston City Councilor At-Large and needs your support. His mission is to gather up the people in solidarity to make a better Boston for All.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each year in the United States, about 264,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer and 42,000 women die from the disease. While men also get breast cancer, it is not as common with men accounting for about 1 in every 100 breast cancers diagnoses in the United States.

In an effort to raise awareness, the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department distributed special patches designed with the symbol of Breast Cancer Awareness among custody and non-custody staff members.
