Cross country yesterday at Brunsville. Le Mars took fourth in the boys and girls races at their home meet. Gehlen took 8th. K-P/WC was sixth for girls, 10th for boys. K-P/WC's Suzanne Putze won, LCHS's Madeline Hurt was 3rd.

Jays fell 30-7 to Sibley-Ocheyedan. The defense had 3 interceptions, though. Evan Budden returned one for a TD, DJ Loutsch (in picture) had one on his birthday and Izaac Herbst had the other. Also, as seen in the other photo, Chandler Willett made a great catch above his head!!

For a second straight season, Hinton is headed to the Class 2A state tournament. They are the only team in Plymouth County to make it to state this summer in baseball or softball.

A-W's Ann Hedlund tosses near no-hitter for Westerners. But River Valley hits 2-run walkoff home run in 7th to win in Class 1A regional final. Hedlund had retired 16 straight batters after 2 walks in 1st and had no-hitter through six innings. She also struck out two.
