Shirley was introduced at an early age by her father to oil painting, leather crafting, and wood burning. During her high school years, she took to graphite sketching and photography. In the mid-90’s she began scanning sketches into Photoshop and created digital illustrations for a book she co-authored.

Today she photographs giant bubbles and discovers amazing stories unique to the spirit of a location. “I love the images created by reflections in the giant bubbles! They reveal a mystery inspiring us to consider that perhaps things are not what they seem. For our life here is but a v***r and the depth of beauty captured in this whisper of time intrigues me.” SEA

The image above is called “Wailea Palms Bubb.” It is one of a multitude of giant bubbles that fascinated visitors at Ulua Beach in Wailea this past Christmas.
