As a planet and all the life it holds, we have a rough time ahead of us... all of us. By 2050—which is only 27 years away—you will not believe what will have happened to so many locations and people around the world. You will not recognize it. But if you don't yet, you'll believe it to be true.

Whatever your belief system, whether there's a god or higher power controlling all this, or science and nature (or a combination), your life, and all those you love, will be affected.

But in spite of the waves, let's keep rowing the boat in the same direction. Together, we can all survive, adapt and thrive... if we are smart.

By 2050, the earth's population is predicted to be around 10 billion people. This article points to the fact that about 50% of earth's population will lack enough water. The year 2050 sounds like it's far away, but that's only 28 years from now. And although I'll likely be dead, you will likely be around. And so will your kids. And grandchildren. How do you feel about that?

The World Meteorological Organization warns that climate-related shortages in water resources could affect two thirds of the world’s population by midcentury and will be felt unevenly

This is something scifi movies are made of... anyone who has any notion of viruses and bacteria will have nightmares over this story... and it's a story we've been expecting. Maybe a better term for climate change is planet change.

It's like the boiling frog thing... very slowly we are seeing it, feeling it, watching it... and then go on with our daily lives because we think it can't be that bad, and if it is, it'll happen to someone else, not me.

It will take trillions of dollars we are unwilling to spend, billions of people to cooperate who couldn't care less, and hundreds of climate change conferences to gaslight constituents to try to slow the climate train down. But if it's just too much of a bother, should we just spend the money on a giant spaceship and build a colony somewhere else? Maybe we should say 'screw it' and just live our lives and hope for the best. After all, this is all nonsense, isn't it?

It does get discouraging when so many humans are so ignorant and short-sighted.

Rain, rain, come today
We're thirsty so what can I say?

We need the rain to water plants
And need the water to wash my pants.

With climate change, things will happen for which we have no explanation. It's easy to blame it all on climate change, and easy to avoid the connection. This is one example.
