Prentice Ponds: Oklahoma.
Imagine having an insurance adjuster come to your house and while discussing the car and incident at hand he pulls out your criminal record. Then while attempting to look at the documents he rushes towards you resulting in a fist fight. After the fight YOU call 911, give the other man a paper towel for blood and he continues to sit there and wait for the police. Imagine you also took pictures of the scene before police arrived showing the adjuster drinking a water with all his documents and tape recorder sitting next to him. Now imagine being sentenced to LIFE plus 25!!!! That is exactly what happened to Mr. Ponds. He was charged and convicted of Robbery and insurance fraud. The Judge on the case used to work in the insurance fraud unit. Witnesses was threatened by the insurance company and there was jurors who did not speak english and the others did not understand the sentencing they was imposing. I say they did not understand because the foreman has came forward and wrote an affidavit for Mr. Ponds. Mr. Ponds was on Parole at the time but is a changed man and had been in no trouble while on Parole. http://chng.it/sMTJfBVLrs

Amir Young: Mississippi.
Mr. Young was convicted and sentenced to 20 years as a habitual offender. During sentencing the prosecutor asked about the enhanced gun charge. The judge responded stating that the sentence included the gun enhancement.
WORDS MATTER!!!!!!!
A week later they brought Mr. Young back into court stating there was some confusion with the sentencing and sentenced him to an ADDITIONAL 10 years for the gun enhancement. They can not do that.
