Heaviest precipitation expected from Interstate 80 northward. The second, colder wave of the storm moves onshore Saturday through Tuesday bringing additional periods of rain and moderate to heavy mountain snow with isolated thunderstorm potential. Lower snow levels with this next wave introduces potential for up to a few feet of snow at pass level. Widespread major flooding impacts not expected given dry soils but enough rain to cause sharp rises on creeks, streams, and rivers and issues during commutes. Weather will finally begin to dry out for later Wednesday into Thanksgiving.
